On Friday, September 11, 2026, the Patriot Guard Riders, Inc. and multiple public safety agencies from Pasquotank and Camden County, NC will gather for a memorial ride honoring the lives lost, the courage shown, and the sacrifices made on September 11, 2001.

MISSION TIMELINE
• Stage: 9:02 AM
• Briefing: 9:37 AM
• Prayer and moment of silence: 9:59–10:03 AM, in remembrance of the South Tower and Flight 93
• Kickstands up: 10:15 AM

The escorted memorial ride will travel approximately 60 miles through multiple counties and conclude at H2OBX.

All groups, clubs, first responders, organizations, and community members are welcome.

Motorcycles are not required. Any and all vehicles are invited, and motorcycles carrying large American flags are greatly welcomed.

Update as of 9/1/26 ~ Trail remains closed for repairs.

🚧🌿 DISMAL SWAMP TRAIL CLOSURE 🌿🚧

Heads up, trail users! The Dismal Swamp Canal Trail will be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC August 25–27 for asphalt maintenance and repairs.

🚫 No walking, running, biking, or other trail use during the closure.

📅 Planned reopening: August 28, weather and maintenance progress permitting.

Thanks for your patience while this work is completed to help keep the trail safe and enjoyable for everyone! 🌳🚲🥾

🚤💙 Thanks for cruising the Dismal Swamp Canal, !

We loved meeting this Raleigh family at as they checked another adventure off their bucket list! ✅🌿

Their end-of-summer cruise had all the essentials—beautiful scenery, family time, gummy bear snacks 🐻🍬 AND a successful rescue mission when a beloved raccoon stuffy went overboard! 🦝🌊🚨 Thankfully, no raccoons were left behind! 😂

What a fun way to squeeze in one more family adventure before it’s back to school! 🎒☀️

The Dismal Swamp Canal reopened to nautical traffic on August 3, and we’re so happy to see the boats cruising through again! ⚓️🚤
