🐊 30” trout 🐊

Had been catching lots of very quality trout lately in the 26-27” range with my clients, so on my day off I went in search of a biggun.
Got lucky and this 30 1/4” trout ate my lure on the drop! I must’ve put it on em like a mustache! My first fish I’ve personally caught of this size in a while.

Immediate big head thrashes as soon as I hooked it and another head thrashing show right by the boat. It didn’t seem extremely fat but broke the 8lb mark on my boga.

I Didn’t get the best pics but after a measurement and taking weight I wanted to get it back in the water as quick as possible. Darted out of my hands on the release and back into the mother lagoon she went. This fish ate a purple/gold/chartrues A.M. Fishing lure on a 1/4oz Salty Head jig.

When I left the area I saw maybe 3-5 more fish in that same size range cruising around so I went back first thing in the morning and only caught a 22” redfish, but at least I had em right where I wanted em for my day off!
It’s crazy chasing such shallow moving fish in such a big boat in a foot of water, boat technology is unbelievable.

Great day with my buddy David Gower! He landed his personal best trout at just under 7lb and a bunch of really nice snook, all on artificial 3” shrimp!

The boat was so nice I bought it twice!
