Just wanted to write a little something today, so please indulge me. Thank you for all of the likes recently and following along on the family road trip this summer. We were out for a month traveling MAXI-van style this year... the bike will have to wait. We had the entire brood, 4 kids, and we also had another set of friends and their son, with their mini van following us around the country. We had a blast! We hit 20 states, put on just over 10,000 miles, and visited Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde, 4 Corners, Monument Valley, Moab/Arches/Dead Horse Point, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Zion, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Yosemite, the elephant seals and zebras on the south end of the PCH, San Francisco/Golden Gate Bridge, Redwoods, the Oregon Coast up to Cannon Beach where they filmed The Goonies(1985), Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier, Coeur d'Alene, Flathead Lake, Glacier, Beartooth Pass, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole, Big Horns, Devil's Tower, Mt. Rushmore, Black Hills, Wall Drug, and the Badlands. We hiked in a majority of the national parks, swam in the Pacific Ocean, and had some pretty incredible weather the entire time. A little rain in The Tetons, 126 degrees in Death Valley which was fun, and otherwise had brilliant sunshine.
The kids all loved their lunch meat sandwiches out of the cooler everyday, tolerated the driving very well considering, and especially liked the weird and disgusting campground with the creepy mermaids on the ballroom walls (oh yeah, and no toilet paper!)

Colorado won "the most awesome place" contest.

Hope you all had a great summer and we will be home in Vermont making plans to travels somewhere again soon... DUH!

Anybody traveling? Give me a buzz to build a trip... Happy Trails!
