Serenity Shores, OBX

We are pleased to announce we concluded a third successful year of providing our home, Serenity Shores OBX for use by OBX vacationers.

1) Our home was fully booked for all available dates from the first of April to the end of November.
2) We now have 33 5-star reviews posted on the Village Realty web site, the property management company that we use. The positive comments are really appreciated.
3) On Airbnb, we have 23 5-star reviews at this point as well as continuing to be honored with their 'Guest Favorite' designation. This designation is reserved for the top 10% of the homes in their inventory.
4) The reviews consistently praise our home's location (close to the ocean), cleanliness, spacious accommodations, and variety of activities provided.
5) We are beginning to have repeat guests stay with us, which is always nice to see.

We are excited for 2026, and the vacation bookings are filling in quite nicely already. We will continue to strive to provide a high value vacation experience. We plan to upgrade the pool area with new furniture and other amenities.

A few comments posted online or in our Guest book:

1) "We found serenity shores for our honeymoon and couldn’t have been happier with our choice! We enjoyed all of the amenities the house had to offer along with the area..."

2) "The only improvement I would suggest is better lighting in the living area. It is difficult to read a book in the evening, even with all the lights turned on. At least if there were brighter bulbs in the lamps that might help." (Note: We welcome suggestions to improve. We did in fact improve the lighting in the great room, which does enhance reading.")

3) "Serenity Shores was the most well stocked with every amenity you can think of Airbnb we have ever stayed at!
The first level alone had a theater room, a foosball table, pool table, laundry room, bedroom, and bathroom. The main floor level was spacious, with an incredibly stocked kitchen of appliances, that I don’t even own at home. The outdoor decks, and even a screened in one with seating, provided so much opportunity to get out and enjoy, the beautiful weather. The beach is so close you can hear it as you sit out on the deck. Not to mention the beautiful and hot tub that was available to us right at our resort. We would definitely return here again! Oh, and pickle ball in the driveway , complete with nets and equipment , was so much fun!!!"

December 2024

We finished our successful second year of renting our home to vacationers. We are pleased that 60 families chose Serenity Shores OBX for their OBX vacation since early 2023. From honeymooners to multi-generational families, we welcomed them all to enjoy our home and its many amenities and location. And of course, quite a few furry friends as well.

We are honored by the many positive reviews posted online or written in our guest book. In subsequent posts, we'll share excerpts from many of them.

We are also grateful the AirBnB continues to rate us as a "Guest Favorite", which the highest rating they offer.

As we look to 2025, we are upgrading some of the furniture in the bedrooms as well as in the theatre room.

While most of our weekly vacationers book through Village RealtyOBX.com, many use Airbnb. We are proud to be recognized as a "Guest Favorite”, and will continually strive to enhance our guests' experience at our beach home.

Now starting our second year of offering our home for vacation rentals through Village Realty property management, we've made several significant updates to enhance the guests' experience:

1) Expanded parking with a gravel pad off the cement pad
2) Added a pickleball court complete with portable net, paddles, and balls
3) Added a retro 412-game arcade console to the game room. The arcade console features all of the most popular games from the 80s and 90s plus many more!
4) Added picnic table to the pool area
5) Added a beautiful tiled backsplash in the kitchen
6) Added air fryer to kitchen
7) Upgraded plumbing in the showers of four of the bathrooms
😎 enhanced exterior lighting

We've spruced up our house both in and out, and it's ready for another great season!
