Yeah Right Charters www.yeahrightcharters.com

Yeah Right Charters www.yeahrightcharters.com Just call or text Barbara at 336-309-5900 for information on our trips. God Bless You you didn't book a bait catching trip, so yep, your trip starts at 1st.

After 30+ years of offshore Charters I chose to return to guiding on the lakes and rivers where I grew up fishing to help others share my love for Freshwater Fishing. I have decided to retire from saltwater Charters because of all the regulations and lower creel limits that has been placed on this fishery.. However, I have decided it's time to take freshwater fishing to the next level so you can

now experience the kind of personal service we have become famous for from our Saltwater Charters. We will be doing catfish, crappie, stripers, Bream, trips etc; on High Rock lake, Tuckertown Lake, and Badin Lake and also on Lake Tillery, Lake Norman, Lake Hickory and Jordan Lake. You can get full details on our website or by calling Barbara @336-309-5900 about other lakes we also fish. But here's a few items to show you we truly have taken Freshwater Fishing trips to the next level, just to get your attention.
#1- We try hard to have all live bait on board when we pick you up, unless you want to experience catching live bait, and if you do, know that sometimes that can take a while. Plus sometimes we have to catch it after we pick you up and if we have to do that then know the time taken to catch live bait is not deducted from your fishing trip. line in the water and your trip ends with lines in the water, not at the dock, you don't even have to "eat" any riding time, you get a true "full day fishing" on our boats whenever possible!! We have decided to only do full days, this gives us the time to give you the best fish catching trip possible.
#2- When you call Barbara and book your trip the price you are quoted is the days price. No bait and switch like sur charges for fuel or anything ever with Yeah Right Charters.
#3- We have always had the best cancellation policy in the charter business. If you have an emergency or anything come up and you can't make your trip all we ask is you call and let us know. you can even call before 5AM the morning of your trip and there will be no cancelation charge. We understand that there are things that happen in life that's more important than fishing, plus, if you have an emergency, we definitely aren't going to charge you on top of that!!! If you just decide you don't want to go and call us "saying" you had an emergency that's okay also, and you still won't be charged, then you and God will have to work that one out!!! As you can see, we are in the people business 1st and fishing business 2nd and we like to under promise and over deliver on our trips.
#4- You are guaranteed to catch fish on your trip and if you don't then you'll get a day learning how to catch fish on the days that they are willing to bite, it's called fishing and not catching, but, you booked a fishing trip to catch fish so, with that comes our NO FISH, NO PAY, policy on High Rock Lake and Badin Lake, only!! As you can see, it's not all about money with us, and now you know just a few reasons why we have so many Customer Service Awards and why so many of our Saltwater Fishermen have followed us to Freshwater Fishing as well!! So, if any of this interests you just call Barbara @ 336-309-5900 and get more information and when you call you are just getting information, you are not required to book a trip. We'll even tell you where the fish are biting, if you are wanting to go yourself as we have lots of friends that help keep us "in the loop"on the bite in several lakes!! When you call Barbara can give you information about other lakes we fish like lake Hickory, Jordan, Norman, etc. check out our rates, we feel we have the best rates in the business and the best customer service you'll find anywhere!!! We look forward to seeing you and having a great and fun day of fishing!! Again just call Barbara @336-309-5900 and she'll treat you like family, because when you fish with us you become family to us!!! God Bless You all and I truly hope God Blesses you and your family as he has Barbara and I and our family!!! Fish on!!! Captain Butch Foster

Thursday, 6-12-25

Today we were fishing with Scotty and Kim Noah and their friends Ronnie and Candace Hall from Thomasville, NC. Scotty has fished with us before and knows our techniques really well and it didnt take Barbara long to get the others dialed in as well. After that, it was "game on"!! It was a hot and beautiful day, but the bite helped us keep the heat off our minds as everyone was having a great time slinging crappies over the rails of our 24' pontoon.
Kim caught the biggest crappie today, but, everyone else was very close to raking over the biggest fish title all day but Kim managed to take the #1 spot at days end. They caugut some very nice slabs today and everyone had a great time today. They were catching crappies so fast at times today they felt sorry for Barbara and helped her out a good bit today. Thanks guys, Barbara really appreciated all the help!!!! When the smoke cleared at trips end they had 120 very nice crappies to show for our efforts today!!
It's always a lot of fun and great times when this crew goes fishing with us and we look forward to it everytime. Just like we do with so many great people now that fishes with us. God has Bless Barbara and I with some of the greatest people to fish with us we coild ever hope for, you all are great!!! Thank you all for the great comments you left us for our Guestbook on our website @ yeahrightcharters.com we appreciate it very much!!!
Weather permitting, we'll be back on High Rock lake again tomorrow chasing more crappies. Thank you all for stopping by and reading our reports, it means a lot to us and would really appreciate you hitting the "like" icon under the post if you want to!!!

Tuesday, June 10

Day 2 of the trolling motor saga!

Butch got the trolling motor fixed last night and it worked just fine today, but it was making to much noise, so he's working on it again.

Today we took some great guys out on High Rock lake after some fresh crappies. They were Link Gregory, Henderson, NC and his brother, T Gregory, Stovall, NC along with good friends, Michael Faison and Robert Bullock, Durham, NC.
It was a beautiful day, cloudy which made it cooler. As we started towards our first stop, we found it was already taken. Heading to another location we found plenty of crappies in the brush, but they were reluctant to bite. All day long we would get to our fishing places, catch a few then they would stop. It was move, fish, catch, stop, move. One of the guys had an appointment at 2:30, so they had to stop early. Although we ended early the guys had caught, loss, landed, discarded and saved some for catfish bait around 125 very nice crappies.

Hope you all enjoyed today as much as we did. It was good seeing you again and we look forward to the next time.

God Bless you all and Fish On!

Wednesday 6-11-25

Thanks to Barbara for doing yesterday's fishing report and such a good job mating on our charter boats and for having my back when my load gets to overload status. All the way to the boat ramp at Southmont wildlife this morning I was in constant questions to myself, did I engage the brush springs on the brushes to the armature. Did I get the wires on the right terminals so first gear won't be reverse gear. Did the Belleville washers stay in the armature housing and not fall out on assembly., etc, etc, The motor yesterday sounded like a train coming, but this morning proved I didn't forget anything as it ran and sounded like brand new.
We picked up Benny Philson and Dennis Robinson from Spartinville, SC to catch some crappies this morning. We left the Southmont wildlife boat ramp and the first 5 places we started to go had fishermen already there so we headed south. Here we got set up on our 1st stop and it wasn't long until the crappies were coming in the pontoon rather steady. We ended the day 2 hours early today because of the heat with 85 crappies in the cooler and most of them were some very nice slabs.
After 2 nights of trolling motor repairs hopefully I will be able to put tomorrow's trip report on and not feel like a zombie. I'm definately getting too old for Charters all day and repairs on equipment until wee hours of the mornings 2 days in a row, but, we keep our fishermen fishing with Gods Blessings and favors he provides me with!! Till next time, God Bless You All!!!

**Fishing Lexington, NC and surrounding areas**

Friday, 6-6-25

This morning we met Gary Everidge from Statesville, NC and Zachary Hinson from Granite Falls, NC. to go crappie catching on this beautiful Friday on High Rock lake. The first 5 places I wanted to hit this morning had another boat sitting on it so I made a selection on a spot that was open.
I informed the guys that the reason those places were already taken was Gods way of making sure I took them to the right place to catch crappies. We got set up and it was game on. This scenario went on all day and several times today we would have fish on every rod we would have out at the same time, and with he Devine intervention we ended the day at 3PM with 170 very nice crappies for the upcoming fish frys in Statesville and Granite Falls.
Weather is warming up and the crappie bite is as good as you could ask for at this time. We have very few days left open for fishing trips left this year. Better call or text Barbara at 336-309-5900 ASAP to book your trip or you'll be left out again this year.
Thank you all for your continued support and till next time, God Bless You All!!

Thursday, 6-5-25

Today was one of those day's you get an unexpected big suprise out of. We had a crappie trip scheduled with Steve and Donna Pribble from Lexington, NC and Kyle and Tammy Lamb from Level Cross, NC. It all started yesterday when we advised them of the possibility of bad weather today. But, they still wanted to go crappie fishing. This morning we had an update on the weather and the chance of rain was fairly high so Barbara called and they still wanted to go crappie fishing. Well, there was not any lightening involved, so we went. I just knew the day was going to be a disaster, but didn't want to disappoint my fishermen if I can prevent it.
We met at the Southmont wildlife boat ramp at 8AM and headed out to the main lake to round up some crappies. It didn't take long for Barbara and I to realize these guys and gals were pure country folks and their personalities were above and beyond and a blast to hang out with. Like Barbara said, people like this are a real jewels in today's time's.
Did I mention, it was supposed to rain, I sure wish it had just rained......it was a torrential downpour and no way possible to stay dry. You had to be there today to understand what I mean, however, spending time fishing with these guys made us know it was all worth while. Nothing but great times and positive attitudes while catching crappies and enjoying everything in the boat getting literally soaked to the bone. I had the top on the pontoon up, that was the biggest waste of time today I've seen in a long time also. Been a long time since I have ever seen it pour like it did and laughed the whole time today on High Rock lake. We were doing good and then around 11AM the winds picked up enough to get everyone cold so we called it a day at noon with 60 nice crappies in the cooler.
At 8AM this morning had you told Barbara and I we would be Blessed on a day like this to make some more great new friends, especially after taking them fishing on a day like it was. I'd have had to tell you no way, you're nuts!!
Looking forward to our next trip together, without the rain, I hope. You guys and gals were great and want you all to know we left the lake today with a new hope for the human race. Another fantastic day fishing with friends made through our fishing charters!!! Till next time, God Bless You All!!!!

Wednesday, 6-4-25

Today was another great day of catching crappies on High Rock lake with Frank Lide, and Jerry Brown from Charlotte, NC and John Adams from Atlanta, GA. Some of the crappies today were shallow 6' and some were deep 15' and a few were deeper 22'. After figuring out what they wanted at each stop the guys ended the day at 3PM with 105 really nice crappies in their cooler to take home with them for their fish frys.
If the weather let's us, we will be back out again tomorrow. Stop by and see what we do if we get to go. Right now it's unclear what we can do tomorrow after listening to the weather forecast. Thanks for taking the time to read our post, please be sure to hit the "LIKE" under the post, it helps us a lot and we really do thank you for doing that. Till next time, God Bless You All!!!!

Tuesday, 6-3-25

Today we took Clinton Hunt from Locust, NC out on High Rock lake to catch some crappies for his fish fry. Barbara instructed him on the methods and techniques we use to catch a lot of crappies and he soaked it up like a sponge. 10 minutes and he had it down to a science and was putting nice slabs in the fish box.
We worked down a ledge and drop off with structure on it and Clinton consistently put fish in the cooler. A couple more stops after this and we returned to the Southmont wildlife boat ramp with 80 very nice crappiesamd we filled up both his coolers for the trip home to Locust,NC.
Thank you clint for your trust and support in Yeah Right Charters and we appreciate the opportunity to be your choice for your crappie fishing trip today. Looking forward to our next trip in the near future. Till next time, God Bless You All!!!

Monday June 2, 2025

Today we had good friends Gary Coffee, Monroe, NC and Sam Crockett, Waxhaw, NC aboard in search of crappies. The crappies are everywhere and some are extremely willing to bite and go home with you for supper. Sam and Gary go with us often and have mastered the way we fish, so they enjoyed the day putting fish after fish into the cooler.
Fish today were caught on brush and structures like logs in water 20 to 22 feet deep along the main river channel edges and drops. Going to be short tonight, got home and had to rebuild the drive motor on thr 36 volt ulterra. Had a Belleville washer to fail and put rear pressure on the armature to overheat the main drive wires. All good now and ready for tomorrow's trip.
Hope the bite continues, Sam and Gary had 109 very nice crappies today to have some family get togethers and fish frys. Thanks for stopping by, 4AM will be here shortly and we'll do it all over again. Till next time, God BlessYou All!!!!

Friday, 5-30-25

Today, the weather forecast was a big factor in the decision to go fishing today or not. After close attention to details we decided to go crappie fishing with Brian Braswell from Lexington, NC Grayson Barrier from Lexington, NC and Barrett Barrier from Gold Hill, NC knowing we may have to cut things short if the weather deteriorates as forecast.
Grayson and Barrett started things off showing us all how it was done, these two boys were on fire today but they finally let Brian catch a few as well. There was some very nice crappies brought over the rails of the pontoon today. Barbara was not feeling good this morning, so she stayed at home and went to urgent care. Turned out she has a sinus infection and the meds they gave her already has on the way to being much better. Our good friend Ryan filled in for her today and his help was much appreciated lightening the load on this old man today.
We had to call it a day around an hour short due to the threatening weather but the guys still was able to put 70 really nice crappies in the cooler to be invited to an up coming fish fry. It was a good thing we stopped early as Brian's cooler couldn't hold any more fish and get the lid closed.
Thanks guys for fishing again with us and it's always fun when ya'll get on board. Till next time, God Bless You All!!!

Thursday, 5-29-25

Met Larry Woods from Eden, NC and Russell Ammen from Boiling Springs, SC at Tamarac Marina this morning to see if the crappies were still biting on High Rock lake. These guys call us in March and book us every month from March until we wrap our season up in October!!! Always a great time with these guys and a lot of smack talk all day long, great times always!!!
The bite was slow, but, we stayed with it and capitalized on each stop to make the best of it before we moved on to another place. They were still fairly deep today and a slow presentation was the key to catching the bigger ones today in good numbers. We ended the day in time to dodge the building thunder storms with 85 beautiful crappies. Great times, great fishing, and great friends, can't ask for more than this. Thanks Russell and Larry for your continued support and we always look forward to fishing with you guys!!! Till next time, God Bless You All!!

05/28/2025

Wednesday, 5-28-25

Today the weatherman predicted a little rain in the morning and it should move on before too long. Guess what, they got it right and we were crappie fishing with our good friend Ben Davis and his friends, that are now our friends as well, Jonathon Barnhardt, and Caleb Glenn all three from Lexington, NC.
I was concerned with the continued low pressures moving through thr past few days, the rain didn't really concern me, but, I know what those lows can do to a fishes ability to maneuver. I started out where we had been doing good last week. The livescope confirmed the fish were there but they would swim up to our baits and then after inspection, they just swam off. I tried a couple more stops with the same results.
I decided to switch it up knowing deeper fish wouldn't be as prone to the pressure changes and the upper layers of water that had cooled off significantly from the cold rains. I made a run south and pulled up on a structure that was in 23 feet of water and the fish were holding mostly 15+ feet deep.
I thanked God for giving me the experience and knowledge to put this pattern together. We fished only 2 places like this and their cooler wouldn't hold another fish, 75 was all we could get in it and just barely got the lid to close. Back out again in the morning hoping this pattern holds again for tomorrow. It should with the way the weather is at this time. Please remember to like our post and follow us on Facebook if you don't already. If you go tomorrow, try deep and fish just right above the fish a few inches and get ready for the bite to come.
Thanks for stopping by and till next time, God Bless You All!!!!
