For anyone thinking about moving to Mount Desert Island after a great summer vacation, I recommend seeing how you like our late fall, winter and spring.

2 apartments available for 6 month lease from November 1st, 2025 to April 30th, 2026. We have some small flexibility to start a week or so earlier and potential to negotiate an extension to May 31st for a different rate. Pets considered.

The property is on Main St. Southwest Harbor, ME overlooking the marina. Walkable to several year round businesses including restaurants, pharmacy, hardware store, community center with gym, etc.

Fully furnished with all utilities included: Heat, electricity, hot water, 300 MBps WiFi, Cable/Streaming services, water/sewer, trash removal, and plowing. Owner shares the driveway and has it plowed and sanded for every storm, you will only need to shovel your steps.... shovel can even be provided.

Enjoy coffee in the morning and your choice beverage in the evening on our deck with rail side seating, deck furniture, gas fireplace and Weber grill.

We are at the edge of the village center and walkable to over a dozen restaurants and even more shops. There are also dozens of hiking trails within 5 minutes of our property including some of our favorite mountains: Acadia, Beech, Flying, and Mansell. The free Island Explorer shuttle service has an unofficial stop across from our driveway for leaving your car at our property and exploring or splitting your group up.

We have the next 2 weeks suddenly open up for Breakwater, our 4 bedroom apartment overlooking the marina in Southwest Harbor. We're offering some strong discounts through Airbnb but if you book directly with us you can save the extra 15-18% Airbnb mark-up (about $600 extra savings).

Huge deck overlooking the harbor and walkable to about a dozen restaurants, playground for kids and plenty of little shops. Dozens of Acadia's trailheads are within 5 minutes of the property and we have lots of suggestions for all ages, abilities and aptitudes!

We just had folks move their 4th of July week stay to later in the summer. Saturday June 29th to Saturday July 6th is available so you can watch the fireworks from your own deck as they shoot off from the middle of the harbor in Southwest Harbor. No fighting traffic after the show to get the kids back to bed! Save $600 for a week this summer if you book direct vs Airbnb or VRBO.
