Their favorite part has been the yard which has plenty of room for zoomies, slopes to increase your speed, shady spots for laying, smells with notes of rabbit, deer and squirrel, and a touch of water for splashing. The memory foam beds are a luxury perk at the end of a hard day outside. Make sure your people book you a spot for this summer or fall so you can see what all the bark is about! These gorgeous tulips and Mr. & Mrs. Peter Cottontail are ready to welcome our Easter weekend guests! Sadly we couldn’t put the rest of our spring flowers out yet because they are now calling for snow and freezing temps 😬 hopefully next week!

We still have several weekends available in May and June, and July was just opened up!

Deer Valley Cottage is a small home originally built in 1936, located on just over 1 acre with a beautiful antique red barn at the back of the property. It is located just a few miles outside of downtown Sparta and 5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway (milepost 235 at Mahogany Rock). We have owned the property since 2020 and did many interior and exterior DIY projects while living in it full time. We have fallen in love with the simplicity and peacefulness it instills, and are so happy to share it with others. Come sit on our front porch or back deck and watch the deer grazing in the evening sunset!
