Join us for Opening Day of the 2026 Speculator Region Farmers Market on Thursday, June 18, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Speculator Pavilion & Sacandaga River Park!

This week's special feature is our Strawberry Festival! The Chamber will be selling fresh local strawberries while supplies last. 🍓

Best of all, proceeds from strawberry sales will help support local community events throughout the year. Every purchase helps us continue bringing programs and activities that make the Speculator Region a great place to live, work, and play.

While you're here, shop local vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, crafts, flowers, local products, and more. Grab lunch, enjoy the park, and celebrate the start of another great market season.

The 518 Barber summer hours. American Beard and Body

GM: The 518 Barber Shop will be changing its Hours of Operation starting this Sunday. Below are the new hours. We apologize for the inconvenience. CLOSED MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

You can call me or text me too at 518-281-1859. Monday through Wednesday I will get back to you asap, as I am going back to civilian work for few days a week.

We will Open this Sunday June 14th 8AM to 1PM, and will continue to be Open June 28th, July 12th, July 26th Sundays too.

The booksy app will be updated weekly to reflect the Sundays available. We will repost for Sundays in August once we feel this day is working for us.

I know the weather has not been great, and the area is very seasonal, and we were hoping for more local support and continued vacationers.

We will always keep you update and we appreciate the customers we have met and repeat customers that return.

Hopefully we meet some new faces.

Chef Darrell's Mountain Diner in Blue Mountain Lake NY 12812 has been featured in a great article as one of the top 16 remote restaurants! They have great food, and it's a beautiful short drive from Speculator.

These remote New York restaurants pair memorable meals with scenic drives that are part of the adventure.

🏆 Congratulations to the 2026 Susan B. Osbourne Award Recipients! 🏆

The Speculator Region Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Crysti O'Connor, Nancy Riley, and the entire Firetower Pizza Breakfast Team as this year's recipients of the Sarah B. Osbourne Award for Community Service.

This award honors individuals whose dedication, volunteerism, and commitment help make the Speculator Region a better place to live, work, and play.

Over the past several years, Crysti, Nancy, and the Firetower Breakfast Team have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to our community. Through countless hours of hard work and service, they helped fill an important need in Speculator while creating a welcoming gathering place for residents and visitors alike. Join the Wells, NY - Historical Society for their Annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 27.

Enjoy a delicious strawberry shortcake made with homemade biscuits, ice cream, whipped topping, and fresh strawberries!
