Today is 5 years married 🤯
We never celebrate it because we usually forget or get reminded by his grandma Terry and just go on with our day haha But I think 5 years is the first big one yeah? 😄

Happy anniversary to the man who has held my heart since I was 14 years old. I still look at you and see the boy I fell for, and the man I’m so proud to stand beside today. I am blessed beyond measure to call you the leader of our home. Together we have grown immensely in our faith, making marriage and life itself even more beautiful. Thank you for being my safe place, my biggest supporter, and the most amazing father to our babies.

Happy 5th anniversary, my love. I am so grateful for you Devon, I love you!!! 😘💋💍❤️

Mustard acts as a flavor enhancer and also helps to stabilize the emulsion by adding a small amount of lecithin, which further helps to combine the oil and water components BUT no it is not necessary.

I choose not to use it because my husband doesn't like the flavor, but yes it's the same color as store bought. I'll add a photo of regular mayo next to mine. We bought some squeeze kind for camping with family recently so I could juat throw it in the cooler.

I'm a mayonnaise making champ now, one of the many things we don't buy anymore 🥰💪🏼🫙

This is the 6th batch I made and my husband never noticed we switched to homeade 😆😋

I do not follow others directions, I take an egg (or more if doing bigger batches) in the jar and immersion blend it for about 20 seconds then add literally DROP by DROP my oil (light tasting olive oil) until I see it forming the white-ish tone then slowly add about 1/4 cup until it thickens then add the remaining oil 3/4 cup. This is for a small amount so I usually double it do fill this jar but this is how I taught myself. Add about a teaspoon of lemon juice, about a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and a dash of salt. I never measure anything around here my husband thinks it's crazy 😄🤷🏽‍♀️

My 8 year old gave me this last night while cooking dinner 😭🥹🥰

She is always right by my side. We homeschool our children so she's never been away from me except for when she was much younger she went to daycare for a tiny bit but she doesn't remember. Her only time away from me is on Sunday during church and during Wednesday night Bible studies. We talk of having a family homestead someday. Where the kids can each have some of the property to live on. She always says she doesn't want to leave us and talks about her dreams of owning a horse and working alongside us to maintain a more slow 'simple' lifestyle. She is incredibly smart, very sarcastic (not sure where she gets that from 🤔👀), and she is a very loving and kind person. She bodly shares God's word to every stranger we cross while we're out, always rocking a dress and cowgirl boots of course. We can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for this little one 🥹❤️🙌🏼

Good morning!!!!!

Couldn't figure out why my cat kept running outside in the morning since he is an indoor cat. I followed him today and he went straight to this little bush. I ate some of it the other day passing by because it was smelling so strong and yummy. This morning I googled it and it turns out all the catnip I tried growing last year finally took 😂🐱👌🏼I thought it needed the right soil, nope clay will do just fine 🤷🏽‍♀️

Has anyone tried it for insect repellent?

Catnip Infusion for insect repellent:
Steep finely chopped fresh catnip leaves in boiling water.
Let the infusion cool completely.
Strain the liquid, squeezing the leaves to get the most repellent liquid.
You can then use this infused water in a spray bottle.

Today I'm sharing our garden harvest from last night, there were more peppers but that's all we needed. The tomato was bright red it was just that top side that needed to sunbathe in the window. Nothing beats these homegrown tomatoes and cucumbers. My kids are out there picking every day 😍🍅🥒🌶

Sorry y'all, off duty today. Woke up at 6am to get farm chores done so we could leave in time for the zoo. We had an amazing time and will share some of it here shortly!! The racoon and flamingos were my favorite, my daughter went for the "big cats", oldest son said we wanted to see "a baby dog" 🤣😂, and youngest said "rhino" but sadly the rhino was hiding in his new habitat. Thankful for our safety and that we happened to meet up with friends to spend it with
