We just had the last of our guests come back from Alaska. Everyone had a great time with many photos & stories to share. Now is the time to plan Alaska for next summer! Happy Water Wednesday! Dubrovnik is one of my favorite cities overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Take a walk along the sun-warmed fortress walls, terracotta roof tops, mazes of marble streets and discover the hidden Buza Bar at sunset. Important Update - London Heathrow Airport is closed due to a fire at an electrical substation supplying the airport, Heathrow is experiencing a significant power outage. Will be closed today March 21 and most likely tomorrow.

Thinking of many of my travel advisors early this morning as we work with and reroute guests heading to London or with connections. Travel Advisors are truly Super Heroes! Please pack your patience.

Happy New Year!

So many traditions to start off the New Year – did you do anything to ring in the New Year? Here are a few fun traditions from around the world.

One of the Spanish traditions of eating grapes at the stroke of midnight. Know as “the twelve grapes of luck” eating one grape for each stroke of the chime on the clock – you will be rewarded with luck, love & happiness into the New Year.

In Italy – the Italians ring in the New Year by discarding dishware, household items, and sometimes furniture – watch your head! This symbolizes letting go of the past, and old trouble and brings hope into the New Year. In Germany & Denmark & Netherlands – dishes are thrown at the doors of friends & neighbors. That amount of broken glass laying at your doorstep shows how much you are loved.

In Greece – they bake a foil-wrapped sweet coin into the bread or a cake – the person that receives this has good luck for the following year.

In Brazil – Celebrated by wearing white and a pair of new underwear. The color of your underwear will represent the wish you are attracted to. Red=Love, Green +Health and Yellow=Money.

In Asian countries in Buddhism, the temple bells will toll 108 times – for purification and to encourage a fresh start for the New Year.

Making a suitcase wish – this tradition happens in many Latin American countries. Packing your suitcase with items for your dream trip and take it for a walk around the block This is to bring travel & adventure to the New Year!

2025, we’re ready for you!

Sitting here, reflecting with gratitude on an amazing 2024.

2024 was filled with so many great travel memories with 4 new river cruises, 3 ocean adventures, 2 new countries, and several custom groups out on epic trips! (Bali, Portugal, Rivercruising & Spain)

Moments that pushed me out of my comfort zone like Artic plunging off Greenland and hiking to Tiger’s Nest in Bhutan.

Moments to celebrate like having guests on 6 continents at the same time and celebrating along with honeymoon couples in new places! Thailand, Japan, Croatia, Belize & Fiji were top favorites along with many unique trips to Europe!

I’m especially grateful for all the wonderful connections I’ve made with clients and colleagues! Cheers to 2024!
