"I'm tired of Caribbean Cruises", said no one ever. But hey, if that describes how you're feeling and you're looking for your next Disney Cruise AND you'd prefer it to be somewhere besides a sunny Bahamian or Caribbean destination, let's talk about where ELSE Disney Cruise Line sails.

There was a big announcement this week of DCL's upcoming Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries. One of the bombshells was that you'll once again be able to take a Disney Cruise from NYC, one of my favorite places in the world. From Manhattan, DCL will ferry its passengers to destinations such as BERMUDA and CANADA.

Disney Cruise Line also sails FROM Canada (Vancouver) on its way to ALASKA. Disney Cruise Line often offers two ships sailing to Alaska. This offers more dates to choose from for your summer Alaskan getaway.

Most of my Texas friends are familiar with Western Caribbean sailings that offer stops in MEXICO. Who doesn't love a margarita and a chance to see the Mayan Ruins.

You can also get to Mexico from the West Coast with sailings out of San Diego. I always recommend combining a CALIFORNIA cruise with Disneyland. But more on that another day!

Disney Cruise Line sails to so many places! Here's a list of some others you might consider if you're thinking you need a change: PUERTO RICO (also sunny, but a great destination), SOUTHAMPTON, PANAMA CANAL, COLOMBIA.

I'M SO EXCITED! This week, I get to sail on my TENTH Disney Cruise. And surprisingly, it's just 10 years after my very first one.

I'll be sailing on the Disney Destiny for the FIRST time. With it's Haunted Mansion Parlor, the Pride Lands Lion King dinner show, and my Merida themed stateroom, I feel certain I'm going to LOVE this ship!❤

So who cares that it's my 10th sailing? I do! Because that means I will officially be a Platinum Member of the Castaway Club. What's that, you ask? It's Disney Cruise Line's rewards program which grants its members wishes for early booking and special perks like including a meal at Palo Steakhouse for Platinum Members. (Next time for me!)

This itinerary that I'm sailing on is also special. We'll be cruising to BOTH of Disney Cruise Line's private islands. First, we'll make a stop at Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point (Eleuthera) and our second stop is at Disney's Castaway Cay. It's my first time at the newest island destination. I LOVE Castaway Cay so I'm not sure that it will replace CC in my affections, but I'll give it a chance. My favorite thing at Castaway Cay is Serenity Bay, the Adults Beach. I'll send you a photo when we arrive!

I'm pretty excited about the new Disney's Lakeshore Lodge that is scheduled to open July 1, 2027 at Walt Disney World! Check out these artist renderings of the new Disney Vacation Club Villa Resort.

We're anticipating 967 rooms with much talked about waterfront Lake Houses among them. I love the natural touches! The headboard reminds me of the Northern Lights. These lodgings will be perfect for large families. There will be a 3 Bedroom Grand Villa that will sleep 12. (and plenty of smaller villas, too!)

Reservations should be available beginning in October 2026. If this gorgeous new resort appeals to you, let's get ready to book your Walt Disney World Vacation!

Disney Cruise Line uses tiered pricing, so booking when itineraries are first released typically means the lowest fares and best state room selection. Plus, you’ll have plenty of time to make payments before you sail!

I sailed from NYC recently and highly recommend it! 🌅West Coast Sailing from San Diego – perfect for adding a Southern California getaway. 🌎Two Panama Canal sailings between San Diego and Galveston. ⭐️Galveston sailings to the Western Caribbean – especially exciting for my Texas clients! 🌴Lots of Florida options from both Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale. Do you want to make getting around Walt Disney World part of the fun? Let’s talk Disney Skyliner! If you stay at certain Disney resort hotels, the Skyliner can be a fantastic time saving transportation option for getting to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, plus several Disney Resorts. I’ve stayed at these resorts and used the Skyliner many times, so I know which resorts really benefit from having this transportation option and I can help you choose the right one for your family. Bonus: it’s wheelchair and stroller accessible! And those colorful, Disney themed gondolas make the ride an attraction all by itself. One little disclaimer: if anyone in your family has a fear of heights, this probably is not the transportation option I’d recommend. Choosing the right Disney Resort isn’t just about the room – it’s also about location, convenience, and how you’ll get around!

One of my favorite Disney planning tips is to decide where you’re eating lunch before you even leave your resort room in the morning. If you’re saving your Table Service meal for dinner, choose a Quick-Service restaurant, place your Mobile Order, and select your preferred arrival window.
Now your lunch plan is DONE. ✔️ No wandering around trying to decide where to eat when everyone is hungry—and no standing in that long ordering line!
When it’s time for lunch, head to the restaurant, tap “I’m Here, Prepare My Order,” and Disney will get your food ready. 🙌
Less time waiting. More time enjoying Disney. 🏰✨
