Okay, THIS is one I’ve been excited to show you.

While we were onboard Resilient Lady, I was able to arrange a tour of Richard’s Rooftop through my travel agency, and this place is absolutely beautiful.

Richard’s Rooftop is an exclusive outdoor space for Virgin Voyages RockStar and Mega RockStar Sailors, and I was so excited to actually get up there and see it for myself.

And this is only a little peek.

I’m always looking for low-carb options that actually taste good, so while I was waiting for my flight home after our Virgin Voyages cruise, I decided to try these.

I had some Bar Tab left to use before we got off the ship, so I grabbed a few drinks to take with me. I’ve had things with açaí before and liked them, and the other one sounded good too, so I figured why not?
I had never tried either of these before.

Well...

I think my face says everything you need to know.

I do NOT recommend these.

But now I want to hear from you. What low-carb drinks have you tried that you actually recommend? And which ones sounded like they were going to be good but absolutely were NOT?

I don’t care how many cruises I go on, I still get ridiculously excited when I walk onto the ship.

This was us boarding Utopia of the Seas this past June, and I was SO excited to finally be onboard.

But now we’re just 37 days away from heading out for our next cruise, and if it’s even possible, I think I’m even more excited this time.
Because next up is Legend of the Seas!

A brand-new ship, a whole new experience, and SO much for us to explore.
37 days. But who’s counting?

Okay. I am. I’m definitely counting.

A couple of little things I do before we walk into the cruise terminal.

First, I make sure my go bag has everything I might need before we get our luggage and settle into our cabin. Medications, documents, a change of clothes, and anything else I might want easy access to during those first few hours onboard.

And while we’ve never had our luggage get lost, you never know. I like knowing that if our bags are delayed or something happens, we have the important things with us.

And if there’s a bathroom right outside the terminal, I’m stopping there, too. Once you head inside, you may be dealing with security, check-in, and lines, so I’d rather take care of that before we go in.

Just two little things that make embarkation day a little easier.

Last year, we decided to do something a little different and make a cruise part of our Christmas celebration.

We loved it so much that we’re doing it again this year.

In just a few weeks, we’ll be heading out on Legend of the Seas for our Christmas vacation, and I cannot wait to see the ship decorated for the holidays and experience all the Christmas festivities onboard.

And here’s the thing: you could do this, too.

You don’t have to sail over Christmas Day. Your Christmas cruise can be earlier in December, like ours, so you can enjoy a holiday vacation and still be home for Christmas and all the traditions that are important to you.

And yes, there’s still time to plan one for THIS year.

When people think about what’s included in the cost of a cruise, your cabin and food are probably the first things that come to mind.

But did you know entertainment like THIS is included, too?

This is the ice-skating show we saw onboard Utopia of the Seas, and we absolutely loved it.

Depending on the ship, your cruise fare can include everything from Broadway-style productions and ice-skating shows to AquaTheater performances, comedy, live music, game shows, and more.

One tip: keep an eye on your sailing as it gets closer. When entertainment reservations open up, reserve the shows you really want to see because popular showtimes can fill up quickly.

There’s a LOT more included in a cruise than a cabin and food.

The Wake ended up being one of our favorite dinners aboard Virgin Voyages' Resilient Lady.

Between the four of us, we tried a large portion of the menu, from starters and steaks to sides and every dessert. Some dishes were definite favorites, a few we would skip next time, and the Meyer Lemon Cheesecake earned the top spot among the desserts.

The setting was just as memorable. We arrived while the sun was still shining across the water, watched the sunset during dinner, and even caught a thunderstorm and lightning in the distance.
