The Tennessee flag was adopted April 17, 1905. It was designed by LeRoy Reeves, an attorney in the TN Infantry. The three stars represent East, Middle and West Tennessee. They should be in aproximately the 2:30, 6:30 and 10:30 positions, and the star nearest the top of the flagpole should be highest. We often hang a Tennessee flag at the Haven, (though it is on its side. )

I Love Carousels and now Franklin will have one. Beautifully handmade horses AND it helps others. The Carousel of Dreams opens soon -May 31 at the Factory at Franklin. Artist Ken Means has been working for more than 30 years carving. This will have 32 figures and 2 chariots. Ticket proceeds will go to local charities. Circle of Giving is the new non-profit formed to run the carousel and allocate proceeds. Enjoy and help others at the same time. It will be giving back for years to come.

Yeah! Centennial Park is beautiful and so full of things to do. The Parthenon is to scale & so majestic. This weekend also hosted a fabulous craft fair.

Songwriters, Boomers and Music Lovers in General: Paul Simon will be in concert in Nashville May 11 and 13. at the Ryman Theatre. What a great venue to see this legend live. I happen to have some extra tickets to this rare, exclusive event. Anyone want a getaway to the Haven and a Paul Simon experience? That weekend is available at the Haven. Make it an event to remember. (that IS Mothers Day weekend hint hint).
