With our Sands Cares Accelerator Graduation Event Approaching, we want to highlight the programs, people, and organizations behind making impact in communities around the world.
Sands Cares is a community engagement program that began as a way to give back, and it’s grown into a global commitment to supporting the communities we serve. Through partnerships with local nonprofits, we invest in programs that deliver real results, whether it’s helping students succeed, leveraging our professional skills to help nonprofits grow, or supporting people facing hardships.

We are continuing our capacity building support with a $100,000 Sands Cares donation for DFS Southern Nevada’s transformative workforce development programs, which include professional styling, job readiness, career coaching, and financial and digital literacy programs. These services empower unemployed and underemployed women to pursue economic independence.
Over the years, we have supported DFS Southern Nevada with annual Sands Cares contributions and Team Member volunteerism because of our belief in the organization’s model for helping women in their journeys to sustainable employment and its alignment with our commitment to workforce development programs in our regions. We were thrilled to support our Sands Cares partner Dress For Success Southern Nevada at its 2025 Vintage Glamour and Grace Champagne Success Showcase Luncheon! DFS Southern Nevada’s signature annual event featured a runway fashion show curated by renowned fashion stylist Crystal Ball and showcased inspiring stories shared by women who’ve been empowered by DFS Southern Nevada’s professional styling, job readiness, career coaching and financial literacy programs.
We also were honored to be recognized by DFS Southern Nevada as a Community Impact Awardee for our contributions to the organization’s mission, which have included annual Sands Cares donations and volunteer support from our EmpowHER Team Member resource group for women. We share DFS Southern Nevada’s commitment to helping women who are unemployed and underemployed build a pathway to economic independence and have provided capacity-building investments to help the organization deliver its transformational programs.
