The idea of celebrating your wedding in a beautiful destination surrounded by your closest friends and family is sheer perfection. 💒

What isn’t so perfect is the destination wedding planning process and figuring out where to begin. 🤔

📞 Remember the telephone game with the can and string?

🥫🧶 Communicating through an empty can of green beans connected to a long piece of yarn is much like communicating with a wedding team in a foreign country.

🌍📜 It is not just the language barrier that can cause issues, it is simply the process and expectations.

If, after reading my blog post about what you could deal with if you work directly with a resort for your destination wedding, you still choose to go the DIY route, please do yourself a favor and ask the wedding team what you can expect from them and when.

📋 A wedding timeline from them will help you avoid many communication issues and sleepless nights wondering if you should be doing something you’re unaware of.
