The Angel's Landing Trail is one of the most iconic and thrilling hikes in Zion National Park, located in southwestern Utah, USA. This challenging trail is known for its breathtaking views and exhilarating experience. The trail spans approximately 2.4 miles and offers an elevation gain of 1,488 feet.

The hike begins at the Grotto Trailhead and winds its way up through a series of switchbacks, known as Walter's Wiggles, which were named after Walter Ruesch, Zion National Park's first superintendent. As hikers ascend, they are rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding red rock cliffs and the Virgin River below.

The highlight of the Angel's Landing Trail is the final half-mile section, which is not for the faint of heart. This section involves scrambling up a narrow ridge with sheer drop-offs on either side. Chains have been installed along the path to provide hikers with a secure grip. Reaching the summit of Angel's Landing offers a sense of accomplishment and a truly awe-inspiring view of Zion Canyon.

Due to the trail's popularity, it can get crowded, especially during peak seasons. It is advised to start the hike early in the morning to avoid the crowds and the intense midday heat. Permits are required.
