There's a version of the Caribbean that doesn't involve a packed resort corridor, a beach chair you had to claim by 7am, or a cocktail that's more umbrella than drink.

COMO Parrot Cay is that version. A private island in the Turks and Caicos with no day visitors, a beach that comes up in client conversations for years after the trip, and a COMO Shambhala spa program that runs on longer protocols than most Caribbean spas offer.

The privacy here is real in a way that's increasingly rare in this part of the world. The combination of natural setting and COMO's approach to wellness and hospitality has made this one of the most consistent recommendations I make anywhere in the Caribbean.

Ready for Turks and Caicos? Let's start planning.

It’s Monday! ☕️✈️

While most people are starting their work week, my clients are just minutes away from landing in Cancun for a well-deserved vacation. 🌴

And yes, I’m tracking their flight.

Why?

Because I’m not a booking engine.

When you book with La Valise Travels, my job doesn’t end when your reservation is confirmed. I’m monitoring flights, watching for delays, helping with unexpected issues, answering questions, and making sure your vacation goes as smoothly as possible from departure to return home.

Today I’m monitoring clients currently traveling, assisting travelers who are already in destination, and creating custom vacation quotes for future adventures.

That’s the difference between booking a trip and having a travel advisor.

My goal is simple: to be there every step of the way so you can focus on making memories instead of worrying about travel logistics.

Who’s ready to be the next person landing in paradise? 🌴✈️ Send me a message and let’s start planning.

Horses on a Mykonos hillside, a cave pool, and views across the Aegean. Not exactly what comes to mind when someone says Mykonos.

Kalesma is 22 suites above Mykonos Town, most with private pools. You're close enough to walk into everything the island offers, but nothing about this property feels like the Mykonos most people picture.

The cave pool and golden hour views are the two things clients mention most. I'd add the horses, but those tend to speak for themselves.

Advisor Tip: I also love pairing Mykonos with Paros or Folegandros for a Greek island trip with real variety.

It keeps showing up at the top of Caribbean rankings. Most people have never heard of it.

Hermitage Bay has landed on the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List and Travel + Leisure's World's Best Hotels list more than once, and it's not hard to understand why. Thirty suites maximum, adults only (16+), and every single one faces the ocean.

Private plunge pools, daily changing menus built around produce from the resort's own garden, a Tree Bar literally constructed around the trunk of a tree, and a clear-bottomed kayak you can take out any time are included in the rate.

The day trip to Barbuda for lunch at Nobu on Princess Diana Beach is one of the best advisor recommendations I make anywhere in the Caribbean.

Antigua also delivers well beyond the resort. English Harbor, 365 beaches, and some of the best sailing culture in the Eastern Caribbean are all worth building time around.

If the Caribbean is on your list this year, message me to start planning!

Some of the best trips I plan aren't for couples or solo travelers. They're for three generations under one roof, or a family milestone that needed to be done properly.

The options are more varied than most families realize. Safari. Private villa. Small ship cruise. Ski chalet. Luxury ranch. Cultural journey with a private guide. The format matters less than the intention behind it.

The common thread in every great family trip I've planned: intentional design from the start.

If you're planning a family trip and want it to actually work, that's exactly what I do. Reach out to start the conversation.

Some days, my office is a desk. Other days, it’s my car with a phone on speaker and hold music playing in the background. 🚗☎️

Today is one of those days. I’m spending part of my day on hold taking care of my amazing clients, and honestly, I’m grateful for the flexibility this career gives me. Whether I’m at home, in the car, or traveling myself, I’m able to be there for my clients when they need me.

Behind every vacation is a travel advisor making sure the details are handled so you can focus on the fun part. 💙✈️

Before I dive into cruise quotes, resort research, and confirming excursions for clients, my mornings usually start a little slower. ☀️🐾

One of my favorite parts of living in our quiet little country town is taking a peaceful morning stroll with Buddy before the workday begins. It’s the perfect way to start the day before helping clients plan their next adventure. ✈️🚢🌎

Sometimes the best travel moments start with appreciating the simple things at home first. 💙

Most people put Australia on the list and never quite get around to booking it. Here's your sign.

The range in one country is remarkable. World-class cities, ancient wilderness, extraordinary marine life, and a food and wine culture that consistently surprises first-time visitors.

The only thing worse than never going to Australia is waiting another year to start planning it. Message me to get started!

I've sent many clients to Iguazú Falls. Not one has come back saying it wasn't worth it.

Gran Meliá Iguazú is the only hotel located inside the Argentine national park, putting guests closer to the falls than any other property in the area. That means early access before day visitors arrive and a completely different atmosphere once they leave.

Staying on the Argentine side also gives access to the Brazilian perspective, which offers a panoramic view that's entirely different from the up-close experience. The falls span nearly 2 miles and include 275 individual cascades.

Advisor Tip: Buenos Aires, the wine country of Mendoza, and Patagonia all connect well with a few nights here.
