I have been asked a few times this spring if I'd be a "step-on guide" for upcoming bus tours in Vermont. Spoiler: I say no every time.

Truthfully, my tour guiding style isn't right for a bus tour. I love the spots you won't find on your map app or in a top 10 list.

I get to say things out on a Vermont Wayfinders tour like, "Look at that beaver dam!" and, "The road is going to get pretty narrow for a few minutes. This is a Class 4 road," and, "Let's pull over here and get a photo of you with the moss-covered stone wall and stream in the background." Things I would say if my best friend was sitting next to me. Things that, to me, make Vermont such a special place.

Nothing against bus tours. They're just not my lane.
Back roads are.

This is what it's all about.
