I've been a Sam's Club member for years and order most of the supplies for Horse Creek Cabins through them, but that is about to change. Almost everything I purchase is shipped because, quite frankly, I don't particularly enjoy going to the store.

I ordered Halloween candy online for $41, but the shipment was delayed. For some reason, they were shipping the candy all the way from Georgia to West Virginia.

Since I needed it for Halloween, I made a trip to Sam's Club today and explained the situation. I asked for a refund so I could just purchase the candy in-store.

They told me the order had already shipped, so I'd have to wait for it to arrive, make ANOTHER trip to the store, and return it. Annoying, but fine. I understand.

So I went to buy the exact same candy in-store. The box I'd just paid $41 for online rang up for $44.

I explained that I'd literally just ordered it for $41 and was only there because THEY delayed my shipment.

Their response? "That's the online price. We can't match that."

Seriously? 😂

So let me get this straight. I ordered online specifically to avoid driving to Sam's Club. The order was delayed, forcing me to make a trip anyway. Now I have to make a SECOND trip to return the late candy, and they won't even honor the price I already paid for the exact same product?

I left without the candy and called to cancel my membership.

Estimated wait time: 40 minutes.

To all the children who were about to get full-size Reese's cups for Halloween, I sincerely apologize. Blame Sam's Club. 🎃

Anyone have experience with Costco? Because after years of being a loyal Sam's Club customer, I'm about ready to make the switch.
