Just returned from RIU Tropical Palace, Negril Jamaica.
Very nice resort that is beautifully manicured.
There are pro's and con's
Pro's: The staff are amazing, always polite and ready to help
Typically for the lee side of the Island, the beach is nothing less than amazing.
The main restaurant which is the buffet had something for everyone, very good. The internet which is included, was very fast throughout the resort
The rooms have been very nicely updated with very
comfortable beds.
Con's: The specialty restaurants were a letdown, Asian, Italian, and steak house. I believe there is a
Chef that is trying to make simple into something else
This is not an Adults only resort so there are some children,
however for the time of year, not many
Overall RIU Tropical bay is a good value for your dollar, considering how resort prices have skyrocked over the last few years.

Day 3 in paradise. Since in recent time our favorite resort“Couples” in Jamaica has raised their prices to become not what we feel is a good value for our buck, We have been looking for alternatives that for a property that won't break the bank and still be a piece of paradise that will amaze your... We toured Azul Beach Reasort by Karisma Resorts a Beautiful top notch property where “Caribbean Dream'n” is confidnet is a good value. It sits on 7 mile beach in Negril, a beach that for sure will not disappoint you.
Our current resort RiU Tropical bay continues to be a great resort with amazing customer service as its number 1 priority
