Forget what you think you know about Disney cruising.

Disney Cruise Line can take you farther than Alaska and tropical beaches...a LOT farther. How about...Spain?

Disney’s transatlantic itineraries deserve a spot on your bucket list!

Departing from Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale in the spring and returning westbound in the fall, these 14-day sailings afford plenty of relaxing at-sea days with stops in stunning cities that may include:

🚢Màlaga

🚢Cartagena

🚢Barcelona

For a sailing of this length, I definitely have some advice on which type of stateroom to book and what to pack. Interested? Send me a DM to chat.

Google can tell you where people like to stay. It can't tell you where YOU should stay.

The longer I do this, the more I realize families vacation very differently. There is no one-size fits all.

That's the part of this job I love most. Every recommendation starts with getting to know my clients first, then building a vacation around them instead of around someone else's Top 10 list.

What's one vacation decision you would spend the most time researching?

Disney Day 8 & 9

MK + EP. It was perfection. I love the end of the trip. We’ve hit the major rides already and we can slow down and enjoy park ambiance.

Disney trips feel pretty effortless for our family. After years of helping families plan their vacations + countless personal park visits - I know how to minimize the parts of the trip that cause frustration and lean into the everyday magic! If you’re wanting to visit the parks - I’d love to help you plan 🧚

Disney Day 7

Animal Kingdom only has 5 attractions right now. Despite that - we had a great time. We go at a slower pace in AK and it’s a nice reprieve from the go-go-go.

Bluey had just started meeting so we made sure to check it out. It’s honestly a bit of a mess. We have a kiddo with sensory issues and it was hard. You have to take the train (which is fine) BUT you’re dumped into a huge room and you’re forced to sit through several “shows” before it’s your turn. Then it’s chaos. The parent and kids form a semi-circle, Bluey and Bingo come out and interact with the group. I can see this being frustrating for a lot of families. Even with the use of DAS, this was very overwhelming. *cuteness points for playing Magic Asparagus and Keepy-Uppy*

My kids were also underwhelmed with the new Zootopia show. I think it will grow on them but they were Tough to Be a Bug lovers. I personally thought it was cute 🤷🏻‍♀️

The highlight of the day was dinner. We made our way to the campgrounds to enjoy Hoop Dee Doo R***e. It’s been a few years since we’ve been and I didn’t expect my kids to be cackling through the show. I don’t know if I had more fun watching them of the performers 😊 Our best meal at the parks! It’s annoying getting to the campgrounds so we took a Minnie Van and was dropped off right at the show.

Disney Day 4 - 5 - 6

We spent Day 4 at the resort + Disney Springs. A meal at Raglan Road is always on the list and it didn’t disappoint. It’s the perfect atmosphere for busy kiddos with its built in entertainment. We got Ghirardelli’s afterwards for dessert.

Day 5 started at Hollywood Studios. We successfully rope dropped Rise and Smugglers Run (no Lightning Lane Single Passes here).

The new Rock n Rollercoaster featuring the Muppets is SO cute. It’s still a brain scrambler (a one and done for me) but we loved the overlay and Muppet touches!

We rode all the things and enjoyed two shows. Maree built a droid which was fun to watch! The last time we built a droid was 6ish years ago. We had a super successful day that ended with Fantasmic! which is a must-do for our family.

We had a Hollywood and Vine dinner reservation that included priority seating at Fantasmic! The characters were cute but the food was absolutely meh. For $81 per person I was expecting a bit more 🥴 Hands down my least favorite meal of the trip.

We headed to the Poly on Day 6 for Ohana breakfast (we have some Stitch fans in our crew). I don’t know why but this character experience is always chaotic. The characters feel rushed and it’s not the most relaxing. Kids loved it, per the usual and ate their weight in pineapple bread.

We had to say goodbye to our cousins as they headed back to STL a few days before us. Traveling with extended family can be tricky but a fantastic time was had by all. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Watching my nieces light up for things my kids have long left in the dust is extra special.

Disney - Day 3

Rope drop at Magic Kingdom wasn’t super magical. We arrived early for 7d and wouldn’t the luck be that the ride was down 😭

We had to pivot our morning plans but we made the best of it! We had an excellent princess encounter with Ariel - honestly one of the best I can remember in recent history.

The Big Thunder Mountain refurb made a HUGE difference on ride quality. The tracks were smooth and the new effects were great.

We tried our hands at being a Galactic Hero on the refurbed Buzz Lightyear and it was SO fun! A fantastic upgrade that we all loved.

We said goodbye to Carousel of Progress 😭😭😭😭 If Disney doesn’t do something fabulous with the refurbishment my soul may be crushed. After what they did to Splash Mountain - I’m skeptical at best.

Cinderella Castle has been restored to her former glory. The gray and blue castle is gorgeous.

We saw the new Starlight parade and really enjoyed the beautiful floats and of course Happily Ever After is always a 10/10.

We walked over to Steakhouse 71 for dinner and this was one of the biggest “misses” of the day. Our meal took 2.5 hours from start to finish 🥴 The food was great but the service wasn’t amazing. In all honestly - the kids didn’t seem to mind the break but we burned some park time in the process.

My favorite part of the day - being on Main Street and enjoying the ambiance. The smell of popcorn with Meet Me in St. Louis playing in the background….priceless!

Disney - Day 2

Up and at em for Epcot. We were at the bus stop by 7:15a - about 15 minutes behind my ideal schedule 😬

We grabbed a bus to Epcot and all the big kids and adults got in line for Guardians during Early Park Entry. I mean - who wants to pay for a Lightning Lane Single Pass?! Not me. Early park hour touring plans can make or break your day.

Ben and I grabbed a Rider Swap while we stayed behind with the baby. We enjoyed some very quiet park ambiance and snuck in early pin trading while we waited for our fam to get off the ride.

We got to see the wall of people enter the park at 9a as they headed to Guardians. Early Park Entry is 100% worth staying onsite for. Those guests easily had a 60-90 minute wait by the time they entered the park and got in line. We love Guardians but you won’t catch us waiting in any lines hour line for anything 🧚

After Guardians we tapped into our first Lightning Lane of the day and then made our way to Garden Grill for breakfast. Characters and food were 10/10!

I don’t think we waited in any lines during the day. Strategic Lightning Lanes + standby lines keep us moving all day.

We did experience a little weather where we had to break out our ponchos ☔️ for an hour or so in the late afternoon.

We rode everything (minus Test Track due to rain) and it didn’t feel overwhelming! We got to see characters, take photos, stop for snacks and meals without missing a beat.

Hot take - Soarin’ Over America was underwhelming. The potential was there but the ex*****on was lacking 😭

We stayed open to close and the kids were champs about the long day. Stroller naps helped and taking a few breaks were key.

Disney - Day 1

We woke up before the sun for our 5a flight to Orlando. Everyone was excited and ready to roll. Bonus that we were celebrating Chayce’s 10th birthday as well!!

We arrived at MCO and headed down to our private transportation. Easy breezy way to start the trip (plus we needed car seats).

We arrived to our resort to find Daisy, Chip and Dale meeting guests. What a magical start! Our stroller was waiting at guest services and our groceries/snacks were held until our room was ready.

We changed into our suits to take advantage of the FREE Waterpark ticket on arrival day. Blizzard Beach was fantastic!

The kids loved the slides and wave pool. We made a pit stop to say hello to Goofy in between lunch and play. Pictures are scarce because I didn’t carry my phone with me.

Around 4p the park closed (temporarily) due to a torrential downpour - that lasted all of 15 minutes. We headed back to the resort for dinner and an early bedtime.

Overall, arrival day was a success!

If you want your arrival day to feel as easy as ours - I’m ready to help you plan a magical vacation. You get inside knowledge to all my tips without having to spend hours researching and asking strangers online for help.
