These guys weren't slowed down by the midsummer heat wave, catching fish in waters as deep as 36 feet and as shallow as 2 feet on St Clair.

Fishing deep offshore has resulted in a good bass bite. I appear to have a pet muskie that's claiming one spot as her home. She stole another bass yesterday. I used the net to push her off on another one, and she attacked my trolling motor.

The final day for Detroit river walleye went good. We caught our limit of walleye early, then had a great day of bass fishing. Today had many first time catches and personal bests landed.

The Detroit River walleye season is ending soon, with only a few trips remaining. Lake St. Clair smallies have been good when Mother Nature's winds aren't interfering. Some of the most exciting top water fishing is right around the corner!!

Walleye/Bass combos trips are in full swing. Early morning walleye has been ridiculously great. The lakes been cleaning up and the bass seem to be starting to get their act together.

Halfway through spring walleye season on the Detroit River. Consistent livewells full of tasty walleye being brought in daily. This weekend was the start of walleye/bass combo trips. 30 walleyes caught, cleaned and bagged by 9:30am. Then running Lake St Clair for some trophy smallmouth fishing.

Good start to the weekend with the crew from Kentucky. Started the day off with a 29-inch, 9-pound fish. Followed by several more big fish, 7-9 pounds.
