Orehenge šŸŒ…
This phenomenon happens twice a year when the sun aligns perfectly with the Lower Harbor Ore Dock. If conditions are good, you should be able to see it the next few mornings at 8 AM.

The next time it is set to align is around January 20th.

Happy 906 Day!

Today we celebrate the greatest area code in all the land, representing this place we all know and love, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

To celebrate...

• Take a sauna
• Split some wood
• Buy a friend a pasty
• Swim in the Great Lakes
• Play a game of Euchre or Cribbage
• Test your nerves at the Paulding Light
• Live outside the U.P.? Plan a road trip back!
• Make a toast with some Upper Peninsula brews
• Pay for the car behind you at the Mackinac Bridge
• Sing ā€œWreck of the Edmund Fitzgeraldā€ by Gordon Lightfoot
• Go hiking and biking and kayaking and fishing and stone skipping and do all the other -ings
• Breathe in the fresh air and be delighted by this special place, the Upper Peninsula of America!
