My safari adventure.

In Tanzania I visited Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater & the Serengeti. I also spent a few days on the beach in Zanzibar.

Here I've shared some of my favorites. It's hard, there are so many!!!

Everything about this trip was magical. Many of you have asked me who planned my trip. SafariLauri.com is a safari expert local to the St. Louis area. We had 2 back to back groups and the logistics were handled flawlessly. Highly recommend!

Apparently, a baby lion sleeping in a tree is so cute that people think it must be AI. 😂🦁 I get it…. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I might have questioned it too!

After 120+ game drives, this baby lion snuggled up on a tree branch might just be one of my all-time favorite sightings. 🥹🦁❤️ Safari never gets old.

Week one of hosting a Tanzania safari with Kristen Friends Travel is in the books, and my heart is so full!

24 people who started this trip as strangers have spent the last week becoming friends, sharing once-in-a-lifetime wildlife sightings, African sunsets, and stories about life, dreams, and everything in between.

There’s something really special about experiencing Africa together. Somewhere between the Big 5 sightings, the sundowners, the laughter, and the conversations under the African sky, a group of strangers starts to feel like family.

I’m so grateful for this week, these people, and the opportunity to share a place I love so much with others. These are the experiences that remind me why I took the leap and started Safari Lauri in the first place. ❤️

Now it’s time to slow down a little, soak up some sunshine in Zanzibar, and recharge before we head back on safari with week 2!
