Why learn trad? Sure, climbing is dangerous—so isn’t trad even more dangerous? Maybe. But that’s part of what makes it so rewarding and engaging. Trad climbers learn to think critically, make good decisions, and evaluate rock quality, all while managing risks.

Trad climbing also opens up new climbing opportunities and can take you to some truly spectacular places. 🌄

AMGA SPI Exam candidates and a llamas 🦙 😝

We have a *FREE* guided climbing day at Devil's Lake coming up on Tuesday, October 15th from 9am - 3pm.

Candidates in our AMGA Single Pitch Instructor assessment need "mock" clients to demonstrate their skills and complete their exam. This will be a normal climbing day where instructors set up roped routes appropriate to client abilities and create a fun, challenging climbing day. All equipment is provided; you're responsible for food, water, backpack, and comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing.

To prevent no-shows, we ask for a $50 deposit to hold your place. We will refund all those who attend. If you sign up and don't show, you forfeit your deposit.
