It was with a heavy heart we said good-bye to our mom yesterday.
She loved RVing and her and dad spent over 20 years touring the U.S. in their RVs. She provided insight to places RV Adventure customers should visit and campgrounds she truly enjoyed. We have sent many of our customers to those places. She loved sitting in campgrounds, watching people, chatting with other campers, and getting out and exploring. She once told me that had she camped like this as a child, she would have been better in her history and geography classes!
Mom spent the last 10 months of her life in the memory care unit of Emerald Court here in Fullerton, California. During that time, we often took her outside to the facility’s outdoor space, which became a special place for us to share moments together. Unfortunately, the area is in need of care and maintenance. The awning that provides shade and comfort needs repair, and the grounds require upkeep to bring back living vegetation and create a more welcoming environment.
In memory of our mom, we would like to help Emerald Court get the area turned into a beautiful space for the memory care residents. A welcoming outdoor environment is something everyone should have the thrill of enjoying, regardless of their mental state of being. Supporting the outdoor environment of Emerald Court's Memory Care facility would provide hundreds of individuals whose life experiences are limited to experience the beauty and joy of the natural environment.
