Fish Creek Falls is roaring this time of year, and it's a must-see while summer's in full swing here in Steamboat. It's located about 4–5 miles east of Steamboat Springs in the Routt National Forest, fed by high‑alpine snowmelt from the Rabbit Ears Range. It boasts two primary trails, as well as a longer hiking experience past the bridge. Open year‑round from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., it charges a $5 per‑vehicle day‑use fee. With roaring flows in spring, clear cascades in summer, vibrant fall foliage, and icy adventure in winter, Fish Creek Falls offers a picturesque and accessible nature escape for all ages!

🛟Check the flow levels: The river will be getting lower and lower these next couple of weeks.
🛟Wear proper gear: Secure footwear is a must — no flip-flops!
🛟Pack it in, pack it out: Bring a reusable water bottle and leave no trash behind. Let’s keep the Yampa beautiful for everyone.
🛟Respect private property: Only enter and exit the river at designated public access points.
🛟Sun and weather ready: Wear sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses with a strap. Mountain weather can change quickly — be prepared.
🛟Shuttle smart: Use our free transit or plan transportation ahead so you’re not hiking back upstream with your tube.
🛟Be courteous: Share the river with anglers, kayakers, and wildlife. Keep noise to a minimum and enjoy the peaceful float.

It is lightly snowing right now and 8 inches since 4pm yesterday! Tuesday another storm comes through and the skiing will be wonderful. We have an open condo for a good price if you want to make one last ski trip this week.
