We had an incredible New Year's in Steamboat! Ski resorts tend to be very busy over holiday weekends and so we usually avoid the big resorts, but the tons of fresh powder and a record snow season thus far drew us in.

Steamboat day was epic snow ❄️❄️ with a fireworks display followed by night skiing.

Found a beautiful run on Howelson Hill during free 🎿🎿Sundays. Jumped on covered magic carpet to enjoy the thrilling tubing hill followed by sledding. SNOW much fun!

Lots of activity with the gondola and the new Christie Peak lift running from the base. much more open up top and a fun string band concert by the ice-skating.

We had a lovely day on the water at Stagecoach Reservoir. We rented kayaks and canoes and we encountered many paddleboards and a few fisherman and water skiers.

Stagecoach is a deserted ski area and the backcountry skiing beckons. It feels like a lifetime ago I hiked up - with skis on my back - another foregone ski area. It's the BEST skiing!

Excellent burgers at Apres Bistro 🍔🍔🤩

The namesake Apres Burger was DELISH!

Side of Brussel Sprouts with balsamic were top notch and the chicken breast with lettuce wrap burger was just right. The chicken breast was tender and moist - done juuust right 🍔😋

To top it off its a short walk from PJ's Place near the ski area. Open year round.
