Sterling's Hometown Celebration is happening June 6 from 9am to 4pm at 120 Main Street, and it's a big one.

The Family Resource Center is marking their 20th year with a full community party in partnership with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, and the timing couldn't be better with Colorado's 150th and the country's 250th both landing this summer.
Streets close at 2nd and Main, and here's what's happening:

🎶 Live music by Janelle Irwin and Jordan Suter
🌭 Free lunch for everyone, courtesy of the FRC
🎪 Bouncy houses, face painting, and the arcade bus
🛍️ Street vendors and farmers market booths
🪖 VFW flag presentation

Water season is here in Logan County, and North Sterling State Park is ready for it.

The reservoir covers nearly 3,000 acres, which means there's plenty of room for boating, jet skiing, paddleboarding, water skiing, and just floating around in the sun.
The Cottonwood Cove swim beach is open for the season too, with a picnic pavilion and playground on site.

If you're staying in town, Sterling Recreation Center's outdoor pool, complete with a slide and water features, is open for the summer. It's a great spot for the kids to cool off without the drive. However you want to spend a water day in northeastern Colorado, it starts here.

The High Plains Truck and Tractor Pull is back at the Logan County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 20 at 6 PM. Roaring engines, food vendors, and a crowd that knows how to have a good time. Hosted by NJC Young Farmers and sanctioned by NSPA.

The Gravel Adventure Field Guide for Logan County is out there waiting for you!

Over 1,600 miles of unpaved roads through rolling farmland and wide-open agricultural landscape, mapped out with GPS gravel routes, hand-illustrated maps, original art, and local storytelling.
You don't have to be a serious cyclist to appreciate it. It's a pocket-sized guide to seeing Logan County from a completely different angle.

Looking for a low-key Mother's Day that actually feels special?

Start the morning with coffee and breakfast from J & L Cafe, then take a slow walk through the streets to find Sterling's hand-carved tree sculptures and bronze statues scattered through Columbine Park.

After that, make your way to North Sterling State Park for a lakeside stroll with those wide-open northeastern Colorado skies.

Cap the day with dinner at Parts and Labor Brewing Co., set inside a century-old Cadillac dealership with a great menu to match.

Logan County's 1,600+ miles of unpaved roads just got their own guidebook.

The Gravel Adventure Field Guide for Logan County launches today, April 30. It's your pocket-sized key to exploring the rural roads, rolling farmland, and authentic agricultural landscape surrounding Sterling by bike. Each guide is loaded with GPS gravel routes, hand-illustrated maps, original art, short stories, and local insight to help you plan your ride and get to know the area from the saddle.

Sterling Creatives is a locally owned artist cooperative in the heart of downtown Sterling. A gallery, workshop space, and creative hub all in one.

Since 2017, this community-built shop has been filling its shelves with handmade paintings, pottery, jewelry, stained glass, woodworking, photography, silk scarves, leatherwork, and more. Stop in to browse, grab a one-of-a-kind gift, or sign up for a workshop and make something yourself. And if you're in town on a First Friday, they stay open late until 6pm.
