When I was a little girl, I genuinely believed that love and connection was the secret sauce to world peace. My bright-eyed and bushy-tailed self often wondered why we all just couldn’t get along, because it seemed so simple (even if naïve). I’ve always been deeply curious about people, deeply affected by injustice, and deeply invested in the idea that humanity matters.
That curiosity is what drew me to travel in the first place. What I’ve always loved most about exploring the world was never just about the places themselves—for me, it was (and still is) about the people: learning how others live, what they value, and how much we share beneath our differences. Human connection is sacred to me. And I believe that travel, when done thoughtfully, can be a bridge to understanding.
Long before my career in travel, I was a social worker for ten years. Advocacy, dignity, and social justice are an inherent part of who I am. An empath by nature, it’s easy to feel the weight of the world. And lately, the weight has been impossibly heavy.
Usually my little corner of the internet is full of wanderlust and travel inspo, but I’ve been feeling a lot of anger, grief, fear, and heartbreak lately. And it’s not just our neighbors in Minnesota—our own community in Stevens Point has had some disturbing displays of intolerance recently, too.
Yes, I’m a business owner—but I’m a person and a mother first. I’m raising a little human and trying to teach him that if you see something, you say something. That using your voice matters. That empathy is not weakness. If I want him to believe that, I have to live it and model it, too.
I wholeheartedly believe in a world where people feel safe. I believe in dignity, compassion, and caring for one another. This is not a space where I will tolerate intolerance. At the end of the day, I want the people in my world (clients, partners, community, friends) to know my heart. This business is a reflection of a real person—a human, a mother, a former social worker—who believes that humanity and tolerance should always come first.
Sending all my love 🤍
