After waiting on a broken Lock in Alabama for four months, Lady Chateau finally made it home for our first charter of the season. The Crew is so happy to be back at it! We're excited for a great season!

With all that's going on, we seem to have some extra time on our hands. This gives an opportunity to install new risers and refinished treads on the stairway going to the lower deck. It's very, very tedious. There's no 90 degree angles and everything seems to be just a little off, and that means a lot of fitting detail.

Well, we left Stillwater kind of late, and now we're paying for it. We had 5 inches of snow on the deck this morning at Quad Cities and about 26 degrees. This is not fun!

We're stuck here in Mobile, waiting for the River system to drain down from it's very high crests. There was some rain in the area a couple weeks ago and the river above us went up 30 feet in 5 days. This has played with our schedule. I was going to go back to Ft Lauderdale to get my vehicle and drive it North, but time is getting short. If anyone would like a drive from Ft Lauderdale to Stillwater in my vehicle, let me know

Yep, it's spring and we really need to get going back to little Stillwater. We've had a great winter, but the ice has left the Mississippi River and it's time to go. Our last day in Ft Lauderdale gave us about 5 inches of rain, so let's hope that the bad weather is behind us!

An early morning charter in Miami had us in some fog that's rare for the area. Later, the day turned fantastic and we had a fun group aboard. A thanks goes out to Gordon for the great job of narration, too!

Runner Paul from Stillwater is in town for the A1A Marathon. We had a great race, but he's also kind enough to help out on a charter in Miami. It was a great day and a better ride home to Ft Lauderdale on the Atlantic Ocean as the sun was going down.

On a recent charter in West Pam Beach, it was so much easier to take the Ocean and avoid all the bridges and no-wake zones. I was a beautiful day to be offshore. And we had some help with the navigation, too. Then, back out the next morning to another sunrise...
