Good news! "The Buddhist WALK for Peace" Group will be in Decatur tomorrow. There will be many peacebuilders gathering. Join us if you can. ❤ We have invited them to climb the 1.5-mile Summit Path to the top of Stone Mountain, but we have no confirmation on that yet. Details:

A 2,300-mile Walk For Peace featuring Buddhist monks will be passing through Decatur on Dec. 30. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, the group is marching from Texas to Washington, D.C. with numerous stops along the way.

GREAT NEWS! The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to María Corina Machado "for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela..."

The Norwegian Nobel Committee is tasked with selecting Nobel Peace Prize laureates. In 2027, it will be 130 years old. The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded 106 times, to 140 laureates: 92 men, only 20 women, and 28 organizations.

Mahatma Gandhi is considered "The Missing Laureate" because he was shot dead before receiving it, and they do NOT have posthumous prizes. I mention Gandhi because in 1930, he stated, "The Future Is With Woman" (and humanity seems to be moving in the direction of more equality -- but too slowly for many).
