Many of you who have enjoyed visiting Ospreys Echo since we started, over 5 years ago, will know and remember our beautiful face of the company - Surrey 🐾💕

Surrey passed away a couple months ago after a long and extremely happy life between Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, Colorado, and New Hampshire. We are still - and may always be - grieving the loss of her by our side, but wanted to let our community know so you won't be surprised to not see her at the waterfront this season.

Surrey was Will's dog from a young age, but later in life she took on a role at Osprey's Echo Sea Kayaking and took it quite seriously. She trotted up the hill to greet every customer’s arrival, and earned our highest company reviews. She was outstanding with a tennis ball but was a terrible swimmer. She waited on land to greet Will and his customers upon return and accepted a paddle when invited. She truly loved everyone.

Rest in Paddling, Surrey. We miss you every day but your legacy lives on in Stonington.

We have some new neighbors here at ! 🪶 🦅 🪶

Just in time for weekend with Island Heritage Trust ! This is a great time of the year to see wildlife in Webb Cove and on the island. All weekend there will be a variety of excellent events going on around the island.

We still have Eco-tours available thoughout the weekend!

🌊🌲You know it's spring in Deer Isle when Island Heritage Trust's Wings, Waves, and Woods festival comes around! Happy first day of this iconic birding festival.

So far this month, we've had students get in the woods and on the water for Wilderness First Aid Afloat with Nancy Zane of North Star Adventures LLC (with thanks to Healthy Island Project for hosting!) and a Kayak Safety Clinic at the Blue Hill YMCA A Branch of The Down East Family YMCA. We offer these courses to help you safely and confidently enjoy our natural surroundings and waterways.

Next up is a "Navigating the Working Waterfront" shoreside class and optional tour, where you'll learn how to safely kayak in waterways shared with commercial vessels.

Our Eco-Tour is back again this season starting May 8th! 🙌 👏 🙌

This two-hour private is a great option for those looking for a mellow excursion and those looking to learn about the 🌲 environment 🌲 and the area. This informational tour takes us back into sheltered Webb Cove. Here we provide local history and look for local 🦭wildlife 🦭.

Eco-Tours will be running in May and through out the season.
