The New England Village of Stowe in Vermont has always been my dream second home. It was also the dream home of the Trapp Family from the movie, The Sound of Music. You might find it unusual that I feel this way when my first visit one Christmas time ended with me being in hospital following a head on collision with a big red truck! However, Stowe soon became a familiar and friendly place that whi

le being a residential village, is also a great place to visit in each season of the year. All I needed was to own a house here to make my integration complete. Stowe is a village for every season (well maybe not the mud season). It is a World class ski resort visited by people around the World. But it also has beautiful Summers and an even more stunning Fall season. So follow my journey in buying a property in Depot Street, right in the Village of Stowe and find out why I chose this great property. You can rent it out too and enjoy my dream home along with the great surroundings. Spend a weekend in Montreal, New York, Boston. Travel to Maine on the East Coast, visit Salem the home of the Salem Witch Trials. I intend to spend every Halloween in the US I think. All these places are easily reached from Stowe whether you choose to drive, fly or travel by train. Or you can just ski at Mount Mansfield or some of the other ski ranges within the locality such as Killington, Smugglers Notch or J Peak.
