🌏 How many of you have ever felt personally victimized by Mission: SPACE? 🚀

This controversial EPCOT attraction opened on August 15th, 2003 and simulates a space launch and travel. It’s a fairly realistic experience with “intense” and “less intense”missions and remains the only Disney ride equipped with barf bags. The more intense mission lets riders experience G-forces up to 2.5 times your body weight. Most people dislike this experience but I actually find it thrilling! I realize I am way in the minority here, but it’s hard to deny that this attraction remains loyal to the ideals of EPCOT. However, most guests are better off sitting this one out and enjoying a Mickey pretzel. 😂

🏝️ For today’s Where to Stay Wednesday may I present Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Located just steps from the back entrance of Epcot. Imagine being a quick walk to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure while most other guests are still on the Skyliner or a bus. Besides being gorgeous and a having a convenient location, Beach Club is home to one of the most popular pools on Disney World property complete with pirate ship water slide. Did I mention you can take a boat or even walk to Hollywood Studios? The “backside of Epcot” also offers Beach Club’s sister resort the Yacht Club and the neighboring Boardwalk Inn across the scenic Crescent Lake which offer even more deluxe accommodations and good dining options. Yes the “backside of Epcot” has plenty to offer those planning multiple days at Epcot and Hollywood Studios-focused trips. I absolutely love staying in the Boardwalk area for the ultimate convenience to the parks, other resorts, and dining via walking, boat, or Skyliner. 🚡
