Pop Century appreciation post: I absolutely love Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This value resort is my go-to when I want something affordable and whimsical. I love that it has access to the Disney Skyliner and its fairly central location also means it’s a quick bus ride or Uber ride around Disney World property.

🏰 Happy 55th Birthday to Walt Disney World! On October 1st, 1971 the Magic Kingdom opened its gates along with resorts The Contemporary and The Polynesian. But wait there’s more! Epcot also opened 11 years later on October 1st, 1982. Since then the entire property has expanded to include four major theme parks, two water parks, and dozens of themed onsite resorts and too many shops and restaurants to count. Here’s to another 55 years! 🥂
