After visiting three Hawaiian islands, I can officially say Kauai is my favorite! From the amazing scenery to the small towns filled with shops and restaurants, everything about this island gives off a laid-back, welcoming vibe which I love. (I’m already trying to figure out how and when to go back.)

We stayed at the beautiful Koloa Landing Resort on the south shore – home to USA Today’s Best Pool in America!

Trip highlights included: Waimea Canyon – called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific / Napali Coast – viewed from a catamaran sunset cruise (a lot of rocking waves but worth it!) / Lydgate Farms – a delicious chocolate and local fruit tasting and farm tour!

Some photos from our recent family getaway to Hawaii! First stop, Oahu, where we spent a few days at The Twin Fin Hotel - excellent downtown location with amazing Waikiki views!

We explored Oahu’s rich history and culture visiting: Iolani Palace – the regal residence of Hawaii’s last monarchs / Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture and Design - former home and collection of Doris Duke / National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific – located in the Punchbowl Crater / Mu-Ryang-Sa – the largest Korean Buddhist temple outside Korea.

And of course, no vacation of mine is complete without chocolate! We did a tour and tasting at Manoa Chocolate Hawaii... delicious!
