Circus Day in Stuart

Today's the day. The big top is up at the Stuart Sports Complex, just east of the soccer fields, and the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is in town.

Two shows: 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

Tickets at the gate today: adults $17, seniors 65+ and children 2-12 $10.

Come out, bring the family, and enjoy a night under the tent. See you there, Stuart.

The Circus Is Tomorrow

Tomorrow. Wednesday, September 2. The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus raises the big top at the Stuart Sports Complex, just east of the soccer fields.

Two showtimes: 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

Today is the last day for advance ticket prices: adults $14, seniors 65+ and children 2-12 just $8 at the Stuart Herald. Tomorrow at the gate they'll be $17 and $10.

Bring the kids, invite the neighbors, and help Stuart give the circus a proper welcome. Nights like this don't come to town every year.

Thank you to the Stuart Lions Club for bringing it here, with support from the Stuart Chamber of Commerce.

Community events recipe

Here's a story we loved this week. Clarksburg, West Virginia just held its second annual Fiesta Hispana. Food trucks, salsa lessons, local vendors, a packed pavilion. No big budget behind it. Just a volunteer group with an organizer and a place to gather.

That's the whole recipe. A signature event needs somebody who cares enough to organize it and a spot to hold it. Stuart proves that every year with Good Egg Days, Best of the Block BBQ, Scoop the Loop, and don't forget the Circus this Wednesday!

Got an idea for the next great Stuart event? Bring it to the chamber. We can help with the organizing part, and this town has never been short on places to gather.
