We were out on the lake long before the “dawns early light” this morning and it was not long until the fireworks started. Our patriotic crew did an excellent job on the rods.

I got back to shore just in time to watch my son Andrew play in the symphonic band at Martin Park. They started with the Star Spangled Banner and Amazing Grace on the bagpipes.

It was a true honor to have groups of veterans on our boat the last two days. The weather was perfect, the fish were biting, and the men and women were a pleasure to fish with. Tony, Jack, and I all had a great time. The photos tell the story best. Thank you so much for your service to our country! 🇺🇸🐟

There’s always been some misconception that the fishing is not that great in August. Just like last year, August has gotten off to a fantastic start. We’ve caught so many big salmon in the last week too.
It’s not too late to get in on the action. We still have a few mornings and midday openings. Give us a call and we can still make it happen.

With a little help from his family, Fitz caught his first salmon today—a dandy 25 pounder! Nothing like hitting a home run on your first at bat.
