Destination Door County is looking for locals to help showcase the moments that make summer in Door County unforgettable.

What a sight! The Algoma Pierhead Lighthouse traveling through the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal. The lighthouse is getting repainted at Roen Salvage in Sturgeon Bay. So for a short time…12 lighthouses in Door County!

It’s Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Free Fun Weekend!

Today and Sunday, admission fees to Wisconsin State Parks are waived, making it the perfect time to get outside and explore.

Here in Door County, that means you can discover all five of our incredible state parks:

Join Door County North for the first-ever Liberty Grove Art Stroll, June 13–14, 2026, from 10am–5pm. Explore Ellison Bay and Gills Rock studios, galleries, shops, and creative spaces while connecting with local artists, makers, and culinary artisans. Maps available at the Ellison Bay Welcome Center.

The tall ship Utopia, built in Sturgeon Bay in 1946, returned to her home port today. The ship will call the Door County Maritime Museum & Lighthouse Preservation Society, Inc. home.

In the future, Utopia will offer sailing opportunities and charters to support Patriot Racing, a nonprofit organization that provides peer support and mental health resources for veterans.
