Town of Gibraltar was awarded a $75,000 Community Investment Grant to assist with the construction of a new trail connecting the recently acquired upper bluff park land to established trails in downtown Fish Creek, creating additional transportation and recreational opportunities in Northern Door County.

'Fund' Friday update - Kolberg Athletic Club. The hole for the septic was blasted and the old concession stand has been moved. Preparations for the cement pad for the new building will begin soon.

Kolberg Athletic Club received support to build accessible bathrooms and concessions with running water, providing greater offerings and accommodations for baseball games, sports camps, and community events.

Destination Door County is challenging residents and visitors to raise $50,000 in donations for each state park friends group through a special parks challenge grant initiative. With $500,000 already committed by the organization, your additional donation will boost the total to $750,000. All funds will be used to make enhancements at each of these beloved state parks.

'Fund' Friday update! Sister Bay Historical Society has been working on repurposing the 104-year-old Little Sister Barn at the Corner of the Past Museum property. They were granted a Community Investment Grant to begin bringing utilities to the barn. This year has been dedicated to that work. Much of the work involved engineers, excavators, county sanitarian, WPS, DNR and permit applications, etc. If you attend the Christkindlmarkt this weekend make sure you stop inside the Koessl Barn food court to see the renderings for this project!
