Hurricane Helene caused devastating loss for many in our community that has been compounded by the economic crisis of no tourism dollars for the last 3 weeks.

We wanted to give everyone a status update on . Miraculously, our cabin appears to have sustained little damage and the property is just in need of a little clean up from tree debris. Our first priority in the immediate aftermath was confirming our team and their families were fine. We are grateful to report they are.

We have made the decision to halt bookings from Friday Sept. 27 through October 13. We want to follow the guidance of local officials asking for time to allow recovery efforts to take priority over leisure travel. Anyone booked during this time should have been contacted and either rescheduled or fully refunded.

We will keep everyone updated on when we can begin to offer our home again. If your stay is in November or later please kindly wait for an update after October 13. We remain relentlessly hopeful that Boone will be operational soon.

We recommend and for the most up to date information from the town. For now it’s better to stay home. When the time is right we hope travelers will make plans to visit as so many locals rely on tourism dollars to sustain and support their families.

Local Friends - if you need help 🖤

Our hearts are broken by the level of devastation in Boone and the surrounding mountains of Western NC. Please remain patient, do not travel into the area and keep this community in your prayers.

We appreciate all who have reached out and we wish we had an update to share. We cannot access the A-Frame and have no power, so our cameras are inaccessible. Once we are able to get eyes on the property we will share an update.
