Want to help out the communities in the Mountains? Consider a trip up in April or May, when business is traditionally slow. It’s a great time to visit with warmer weather and no lines at the restaurants. They lost so much business in Oct/Nov, they can use as much business as possible in April/May.

Updated Availability! Its been a great winter season and it looks like Sugar will stay open most of the month of March. Our last remaining weekend available is March 7-9th. Who wants it?

What a great way to support Banner Elk this season!

We're going to miss seeing so many of you at the cancelled in-person Woolly Worm Festival this year, but the festival spirit lives on!

The festival has pivoted and is offering multiple ways to support. Charlotte and Raleigh friends: make sure to purchase your ticket for the in-person scavenger hunt this Saturday for a chance to find the hidden worms and take home $500! If you can't make the hunt, consider purchasing a no-show ticket, shop the online vendor marketplace, or watch the live stream race this Sunday!

Winter is coming! Beech Mtn opening for skiing Nov 29th, Sugar likely sooner than that as always just depending on weather.

Boone and Blowing Rock back 100% needing tourism. Banner Elk still waiting on some repair to their water/sewer but hopefully will be back in the next 2-3 weeks.

Snow made an early arrival. This is at 4500 ft overlooking Banner Elk with 2 inches overnight. Just a little dusting in town. Much warmer weather returning soon. Our hardworking recovery workers will continue on!
