An old friend is back in the harbor for a brief visit! The MV Kearsarge has come home for a couple of days before she’s lifted from the lake and moved down the road for the winter.

She may look different right now, but stepping aboard still feels like meeting an old friend who remembers all your stories. Earlier this year, a local company was wanting to bring the Kearsarge ashore for a new community attraction. They began preparing for that move — including removing her top deck — but closed their business unexpectedly, leaving the project unfinished and the boat still in the water.

Since then, we’ve been working on a plan to remove the Kearsarge and cover the unplanned costs that came with this surprise turn. As of today, the Kearsarge’s next adventure is undetermined. Unfortunately, we do need a solution in place by spring, or we will need to dismantle her the rest of the way, but we're hopeful a great plan will come to action soon.

Thank you to everyone who loves this boat and the history she carries. Your support keeps her story moving. ❤️🚤

Don't forget the the our last event of the season TONIGHT! We'll be serving brunch for dinner dockside (and drinks) as a fundraiser for the Sunapee PTO!

All the harbor shops will be open. Support local and support the PTO!

🎄🎄 It's our last event of the season. 🎄🎄

🍎🖍️ Come down this Friday night to support the Sunapee Parent Teacher Organization! 🖍️🍎

🍸🍾 We'll be serving drinks and brunch dockside from 5pm - 8pm. Some of the kids requested breakfast for dinner this year, so we compromised and we're offering the brunch buffet we offer every Sunday at Hoptimystic Brewing (Think BBQ Pulled Pork, roasted home fries, Belgian waffles, cinnamon roll casserole, bacon, eggs, etc.) 🍾🍸

Stop by for a cocktail and something to eat, say hello to your neighbors, and support the PTO. The Queen will be aglow with Christmas Lights, and good cheer. This is one of our favorite events of the year!
