The MV Kearsarge is officially on to her next adventure!
After spending the last few years in retirement, she has moved to Hooksett where she'll have her next adventure (we'll wait for the new caretakers to announce her next plans).
This boat has lived a life! She was built in 1980 by our extended family and local craftsmen on the shores of Lake Sunapee. She's hosted countless special occasions and welcomed visitors to the area for over 40 years. She's survived sinking at the dock and rebuild, rough waters and beautiful sunsets and cruised the lake for more hours than we can calculate. Through it all, she has had so much love and care put into her. It is tough to see her go, but we couldn't be happier with the direction she's headed.

Thank you to S. McGrath for designing the boat and to the McGrath and Hargbol families for building the Kearsarge and her immaculate care for so many years.

The Kearsarge has had many "final" cruises, which turn out to not be her last. On her way to Hooksett, she was surprisingly routed down Main Street in Concord. There were many equally surprised looks along the way, but we loved that she had another "final cruise" through the heart of the state and right in front of the statehouse.
We'll be sure to post about her future.
