Terry at R&R Travel My travel career began in 1985, and I have been curious about the world ever since. I handle the details so you can relax and enjoy being there.

I help empty nesters rediscover travel by sorting through today’s options and technology so they can travel with ease and confidence.
40 years in travel, planning small ship cruises and custom trips, start to finish. Born and raised in Oregon, I now call the high desert of Central Oregon home, living with my husband just steps from Sunriver Resort with its ski runs, trails, and summer sunshine. I

am drawn to places I have not seen yet and those unscripted moments that turn a good trip into the stories you tell for years. When I am not planning travel for others, I am enjoying an active life as an empty nester, soaking up time with my two grandkids, and grateful for the connections travel creates. I specialize in helping you travel your way, whether that means a river cruise, a small group tour, or a solo adventure.

So I have to talk about Celebrity river cruises for a second.

Their 2027 river season? Sold out in 6 minutes.

Their new ships including their signature elevated experiences set them apart.

2028 is open now!! Five ships. 160 sailings.

New itineraries I’m really excited about including the lower Danube, the Dutch tulip season and the Christmas markets on both Rhine and theDanube.

Want more information drop a comment “river” and I’ll send you the 2028 Ebook.

The sights and sounds of sailing . . We were on a 5 night sailing and couldn’t get to all the places! There is a reason why people sail VV over and over again. It’s casual yet elevated in food and atmosphere. For those who want to compare the differences to other cruise lines, dm me with your email for my one sheet comparison.

The Elser Hotel
Located on 5th in downtown Miami.

What I loved:
Location. I normally stay at an airport hotel when coming in for one night before a cruise. I decided to change it up this trip. It had a vibrant feel with modern artwork. The room was fabulous with a full kitchen, comfy bed with a great view. We stayed on the 35th floor with a walkout deck. I’m not gonna lie, I got little queasy standing on the deck looking over the railing. Back inside the room even had an espresso machine with Cuban coffee pods!! Staff was very helpful. The gym was huge with two floors including weights, cardio, and fitness class rooms. There was a great outdoor restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast the next morning. The restaurant pricing was typical for a downtown hotel. Also in that same area is the pool and wrap around rooftop seating with comfy chairs. A nice place for us to sit after we checked out of the hotel and waited for our boarding time. Wifi was included with unlimited devices. This is huge for me because I’m always working when traveling.
It took us 10 minutes to get to the ship via uber. It took us a little bit to figure out the elevators. In the hallway near the elevator banks, you press your key card onto a pad and it will tell you which elevator to get on. No buttons to push once inside the elevator.
All in all, I would definitely stay here again. It was also fun being downtown and near Bayside marketplace.

What I didn’t love is getting up at 2 am to catch a flight at 5. We got in at 4 and was asleep by 8. But that has nothing to do with the hotel. Did I already say how comfy the bed was? I would recommend.

I have a great city/port guide for a stay of 1-3 nights in Miami if anyone is interested. Just dm me your contact.
