So I catch crap from people about using AI.
Yep, I use AI as one of my tools.

But Captain Eddie’s Log isn’t an AI page running itself. I pick the local stories, check the information, decide what belongs in the Log, write and shape the humor, and spend a ridiculous amount of time fixing things that aren’t right.

AI can make some awful stuff. So can Photoshop. So can a camera.

The tool isn’t really the interesting part to me.

Is the information useful? Is it local? Does it make somebody smile? Does it help people discover something about Topsail they didn’t know yesterday?

That’s what I’m trying to make.

And if something I post is wrong, tell me. I’ll fix it.
