Tournament of the Castle Renaissance Faire at Bacon’s Castle

Hear ye, hear ye! Step back in time for a weekend of medieval excitement as the Tournament of the Castle Renaissance Faire returns to historic Bacon's Castle on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8, 2026.
Set across 40 acres surrounding the oldest brick dwelling in North America, this two-day Renaissance faire will feature medieval full-plate armored combat by the local Tidewater Dogs of War alongside international teams competing for prizes and first place. Visitors can experience the Classic Level Melee and other demonstrations of medieval combat while enjoying the one-of-a-kind historic setting of Bacon’s Castle.
The weekend will also feature live musical entertainment, blacksmith demonstrations, equestrian showcases, an artisan craft market, food trucks, and more. Guests can enjoy craft brews, mead and wine while exploring the festivities, and Renaissance attire is encouraged!

Adult Admission – $22
Military, Seniors (60+) & AAA Members – $20
Preservation Virginia Members & Students Ages 12–18 – $15
Children Under 12 – FREE
The event will take place rain or shine.
Advance ticket purchase is required. No tickets will be sold at the gate. Tickets go on sale online beginning Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM and are expected to sell out!
