I remember our first years of marriage and telling brent that lake house summers will be something our kids will always remember when they’re older.

✨43✨ This year just hit different. I felt a deep sense of peace and just a settledness within my heart that’s been missing the past few years. Super grateful the Lord continues to teach me that HE is better than anything my heart could ever desire and this world could ever give. ❤️

This Mother’s Day hit differently. We’re in a new phase of life and the Lord is working to help me see that it is about loving my kids right where they are, not where I want them to be. He has the final say and while I have the responsibility to teach and disciple them, He has them. And while I want to hold on to the saying that children are a reflection of their parents, I know that most(almost all) the time, I just can’t place that on my shoulders. Humbleness, surrender. That’s what I’m learning. And clinging to the truth that God is Good. ❤️

Also, Super grateful for my mom, mother in love, aunts, grandmas, and friends who have shown me such love and grace in their mothering ❤️

To say I’m so proud of this man is an understatement!

He was the winner of his company’s annual “O.I.L.E.D.” award which is voted on by his coworkers and is such an honor!

The acronym stands for Ownership, Integrity, Loyalty, Ernest, and Done. If you know Brent, you know he exemplifies all of these naturally. To get a front row seat to his life is a JOY!
