“This was the most incredible and comfortable place we have ever stayed. Everything was comfortable, clean, and private. Andy and Shari’s home is stunning. Everything from the interior decoration to the surrounding gardens and views are so beautiful. Andy is an artist and the home is a cozy gallery and Shari is one of the kindest, most hospitable people you’ve ever met (and an incredible baker). She’s thought of everything for you upon arrival with a guest book of information for you to reference on your own time.

It takes 15-20 minutes to get to Asheville and there are fantastic hikes all within 30 minutes to an hour drive from the house. Leave some time to enjoy the property!

We loved Asheville, but when we return it’ll be so that we can stay here again.”

“I had a wonderful stay in the Paris Suite. The hosts were very friendly and always wanted to make sure everything was ok. The back deck had phenomenal views of the mountains. The sounds of the wind chime and the brook added to the peacefulness.

On the way up the mountain I stopped to take some great sunset pictures. The suite had such great finishes and touches and well as the bathroom with the soaps and shampoos. Even the towels were so soft. Had 3 great nights of sleep in the king bed. The drinks and snacks left out each day added to the experience. A mega chocolate chip cookie to die for. The community area was spacious with fine accents.

I have stayed in several Airbnb's over the years and this was by far the best experience I have had. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Asheville”

Last weekend at The Falls we were in short sleeves spreading 32 bales of straw and 68 bags of mulch (we’re not finished yet!) readying for Spring. Today we wake up to an ice storm - beautiful, but still????

Winter at the Falls has been quiet and peaceful. The hiking trails behind the house will be marked by Spring. Come visit and hike for miles from the back door - and up the ridge :)

Shari & I discovered a great little hike along the Swannanoa River at Owen Park to Warren Wilson College... Bitter Sweet in bloom, bamboo forest, ducks horses and pigs at the Warren Wilson farm & the lazy flow of the Swannanoa on a perfect autumn day. Come join us at The Falls of Harrison Hill, now taking reservations through December.

Lions, tigers & bears, oh my! Wait! No lions or tigers, but we do have bear sightings . Momma bear came to visit again before munching on insects from a nearby fallen log.
