Well, Hawaii’s winning streak is officially over.

Today at the Fulton County Fair, 302 people cast their votes, and All-Inclusive Resorts came out on top with 56 votes!

Hawaii had won the last two days, but today it dropped to second place with 52.

So now I want to know…

Which team are you on?

Hawaii does it again!

Alaska held the lead for most of the day, but Hawaii came from behind and took the top spot with 66 of today’s 247 votes, beating Alaska by just 14 votes!

So far we’ve had:
Friday: Disney
Saturday: Hawaii
Sunday: Hawaii

Will Hawaii make it three in a row tomorrow, or will another destination finally knock it out of the top spot?

We have a new leader at the Fulton County Fair!

Yesterday Disney was in the top spot in our Favorite Vacation Destination vote, but today Hawaii has taken the lead with 47 of 232 votes.

I wasn’t expecting Hawaii to take over the top spot, but here we are.

We’ll be voting all week at the Vacation Daze booth, so if you’re headed to the fair, stop by and cast your vote.

And if you’re not at the fair, you can still vote here: Disney or Hawaii?

I’ll be at the Fulton County Fair starting tomorrow through Thursday with Vacation Daze!

And just like that... it was finally time to board the Disney Wonder!
After all the planning and anticipation, there’s just something about that moment when they call your family’s name and you officially step onto the ship.
Our embarkation day didn’t go completely according to plan, and I ended up missing something I had REALLY been looking forward to, but that’s travel sometimes! Thankfully, it was a small hiccup in what was about to be an incredible week.
Vancouver was behind us, and we were officially on our way to ALASKA!

Embarkation day is exciting, but there are a few things you’ll want to have ready before you ever get to the cruise terminal!
In Part 1, I’m sharing a few of the things I did (and learned!) to make getting on the Disney Wonder a little easier, from luggage tags and your Port Arrival Form to what you definitely want to keep with you instead of packing in your checked luggage.
And if you forget those Disney luggage tags? Don’t panic!
Part 2 is next, and I’ll take you along as we actually board the Disney Wonder... including the little embarkation-day mishap that caused me to miss something I had REALLY been looking forward to.

One of the best things I can hear after a client gets home is that everything felt seamless.
There are so many little things that go into planning a trip, especially when you’re traveling with kids. The reminders, check-in dates, transportation, documents, deadlines, questions that come up along the way...all of those little details can add up quickly.
McKenna and her family recently sailed on the Disney Wish, and this is what she had to say after they returned:
“It was absolutely wonderful working with Sarah. She was so helpful and answered all of my questions. She sent so many wonderful reminders and truly made the whole process so seamless. 10/10 recommend her!”
But I think my favorite part of her feedback was when I asked what she enjoyed most about the trip.
Her answer was simply, “Seeing the joy in the kids’ eyes.”
That is what it’s all about.
I love helping with the planning, but even more than that, I love knowing my clients were able to relax, enjoy their trip, and make some really great memories together.

Vancouver was supposed to be the place we stayed before our Alaska cruise, but it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the vacation.
With only one full day to explore, we got a great little taste of the city without trying to cram everything in.
If your Alaska cruise leaves from Vancouver, don't think of it as just your embarkation port. Give yourself a little extra time if you can. There's so much to see, do and, of course, eat!
Now that we've explored Vancouver, it's finally time to board the Disney Wonder and head to ALASKA!

Would I stay at the Pan Pacific Vancouver before an Alaska cruise again? Absolutely.

The rooms were a little dated, but the location and convenience more than made up for it. We could see the cruise ships right from our room, explore Vancouver easily, and my favorite perk was having bell services pick up our luggage from our hotel room on embarkation morning. The next time we saw it, it was outside our stateroom on the Disney Wonder. Talk about an easy cruise morning!

If you’re sailing from Vancouver, this is definitely a hotel I’d consider.
