This is a great activity while visiting Talkeetna!! Talkeetna Lakes Park is easily accessible from mile 12 of the Spur Rd. You can hike the trails, or go for a paddle. Highly recommend!

Come see us at X Lake in the Talkeetna Lakes Day Use area. Kayak tours and Canoe, Kayak and Stand Up Paddleboard rentals.

Just a little update:

The snow is almost gone and the leaves are starting to sprout. 🌱 We currently have 17.5 hours of daylight! Generally, this is the beginning of climbing season on Denali and we start welcoming our first visitors.

However, Talkeetna has been very quiet this month. State travel restrictions require anyone coming from out of state to self isolate for 14 days and all Alaska cruises have been cancelled for 2020.

The Adventure Cottage is monitoring & adhering to all health mandates and is preparing to host guests again when we are able to do so. Stay healthy.

Since busloads of cruise ship passengers won't be coming to town, business owners hope Alaskans travel north to support Talkeetna's local economy. Full story...
